I got the greatest hits CD from them. I got to give this 5 stars! I was listening to them in my car today and it sounded so good with hit after hit. It's got "Weekend Girl" "Tell Me If You Still Care" "The Sands Of Time" "The Finest" and of course, "Take Your Time(Do It Right") This is one of the most underrated R&B funk bands of all time that claimed their place with their peers. I love the S.O.S Band!

I got the hits collection when it came out a couple years back. To this day "Take Your Time" sounds as funky as it did when it first came out. "Tell Me If You Still Care" and "The Finest" are my two other favorites from them. I think I still have their Sands of Time album on vinyl, haven't listened to it in a long time though, but it was a favorite because of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

Believe it or not, my fave song by them is one that wasn't released as a single. It's called "Dit Dit Dit Dash Dash" ....
"we're sending out an SOS...and it's not a signal of distress, it stands for SOUNDS OF SUCCESS..." *Irene singing*

I love that song. I blast that in my car!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Jazz hasn't responded yet, but the S.O.S. Band is his #1 favorite group, so I know he loves them too.

Aww yeah!

I grew up on the S.O.S. Band. My dad has four of their albums - S.O.S., Too, Just the Way You Like It & Sands of Time.
He used to play the hell out their debut back in the day. The cover is faded with the outline of the vinyl record.

Right on, Vash. That is MY BAND!! Been a fan since their first album dropped back in the day and got all their albums since. I wore out many copies of their "Best of" and more recently "Greatest Hits" CDs lol They also bring down the house in concerts. I've seen them live several times over the years. While I prefer their "Best of" CD from 1995, because it has all full-length versions and better sound but only 10 tracks, I also like the more recent "Greatest Hits" CD from 2004 because it has more tracks and includes some of their hits that were left off the "Best of" CD - but several songs on the GH CD are edited including "Take Your Time (Do it Right)".
