...how many years, 10. I always felt the show had lost steam way before then. Baby Jessica, The Help Center, etc.

I watched this show in the 80s. I liked it through season 8 (although in syndication year 8 is not that good). I got bored with it in year 9 and stopped watching it entirely after that except for a couple shows in the last season. The first 7 seasons are the best, but in a way I can see why it ran as long as it did- the actors were good even when the show itself wasn't.

It was a good show for so long, so I am not completely surprised it lasted as long as it did.

I didn't realize it was on for 10 years until a few years ago. Time flies when you're really funny.

No, it was a good show, though they didn't give it any closure.

I'm pretty sure he had a bunch of stores when it started which is why they moved to Manhattan. He opened another one in the first year 3 show and another at the start of year 4. I wonder why he didn't open more though?

How come? I'm also not thrilled with it being on TVLand either, actually I'd like to see older shows that aren't being shown anymore. I'd like to see shows like:

The Courtship of Eddie's Father
Julia
The Ghost And Mrs. Muir
Donna Reed Show
Dennis The Menace
The Mothers-In- Law
I'd also like them to maybe dedicate a weekend or week of shows from the 40's, 50's and 60's.

Shows from the 60's stink and I'm glad the Jeffersons is coming to TV LAND for one reason, the Message Board will come alive-lol
