in liquid form?

I can take it either way. I prefer tablets or pills, so I don't have to taste any nasty tasting medicine.

my daughter can't swallow pills. she feels like they won't go down and get stuck in her throat, so I have to crush them for her.

I absolutely cannot stand the taste of liquid medicine, especially if its grape flavored cough syrup or something similar. I've literally vomited trying to take that stuff. It's pills all the way for me.

Oh my God.......with ALL the pills I take, I wish I could take it in liquid form. Sometimes they just don't go down and they feel stuck in my throat! 9 pills a day, taking pills 3 times a day, and I still can't get the hang of it!!

Either, but I prefer pills. I wasn't able to swallow pills when I was a kid at all. I was afraid of choking too.

I used to find it VERY difficult to ingest even the tiniest pill in my mouth. I always had this fear of gagging (since I have SUCH a strong gagging reflext) or it would get stuck in my throat, etc, etc. I would find myself almost chewing the pill just enough so it would "go down" easier in my throat. Then when I tried that Herbal Life thing for a month four years ago, I eventually conquered that fear.

Onto to the question - I would actually prefer pill form because you don't have to taste much. Besides, I am on this habit of taking headche medicine in pillform, at least, once a week every week. Needless to say, I am used to it.

I take six vitamins a day, and I hate it. I drink milk with them to make it easier. I can take Tylenol gel type pills, but no, I hate taking pills.

Yes, I can take both, my Mom can't take a pill to save her life LOL. She has a hard time swallowing pills unless she drinks a lot of water.

I guess it's that gag reflex that really gets people scared abt choking. But if I remember, anything smaller than a quarter won't get stuck in your throat.

I take Paxil everyday, I have headaches a lot, and calcium pills and huge....so I'm a pro at swallowing pills/capsules.

i've been able to take them since i was like 4 or 5. i hate liquid medicine. it makes me even more angry that the people that make medicine actually flavor the liquids thinking it will taste good. GROSS.
the only liquid i ever take is stuff to numb my throat. it tastes really bad, but if i drink water afterwards it completely defeats the purpose. it isn't that bad though.
my sister is 21 and still can't take pills or get shots. i've made fun of her forever for both. :p

I can't swallow pills for crap. It takes me like five minutes to drink some water with it to dissolve it in order to make it easier.

When I was a child, I'd have a fit when my parents would try to give me medicine in pill form! I always thought I would get choked on the pills, for some reason! Luckily, I grew out of it!

I have to take meds every day, so pills are definately a conveneince... I cant beleive so many people have that fear of choking on them.
It's an irrational fear....just like how huge animals and humans can fear the smallest animals/insects.

I can swallow multiple pills quite easily. I swallow about nine per day, so Iv'e gotten use to it. I don't like taking things in liquid form, for the same reason others don't, it usually tastes terrible!! Some pills taste terrible too, so you have to get them down fast. Especially multi vitamins. Those things smell, and taste nasty!!

chewable vitamins are gross though, but not the flintstones ones. those were GOOD. i kind of want some now. does anyone remember those Vitaball things or whatever? it was gum & vitamins? but they were gross :(

i used to get alot of stomach aches when i was real young. It was because I used to eat those Flintstones chewables like they were candy. Oh yeah, and those St. Joseph Aspirin for children. they were tiny little orange tasting aspirin. I would eat a handful. Man, they taste soooooo good. That's probably why they made medicine taste so bad so that kids like i was, won't overindulge.

For the longest time I could never take ANY pills (I'd only take them crushed up, which was definitely not tasty). I was scared to death of choking. I finally got over my fear and can just force 'em down...it's no big deal for me anymore, really.

hahaha, i know what you mean. i'd always try to eat the flintstones ones and my mom had to yell at me for it.

i'm surprised at how many people are/were scared of choking on pills. i don't get it. i'm the girl that's normally scared of everything and the thought of choking on pills NEVER crossed my mind once in my life.

hi,

I rather take pills anyday than liquid. Just that feeling, with that disgusting liquid covering my mouth and tongue, how icky.

I can't swallow pills.
It's not that I'm scared about choking, I just cannot physically keep the pill in the back of my throat long enough for it to go down. Whenever I put some water in my mouth, it just comes back up! AHHH...I just need to learn how to do it better and practice more often.
But for now...liquid. They don't taste bad at all either. Meh...I guess you just got to get used to them.

I can usually swallow aspirin or other smaller pills without a problem but those big vitamin horsepills make me choke so I just take the childrens chewable vitamins instead. I must be the only one here who doesn't mind liquid medicine, Nyquil, Pepto Bismol etc never bothered me at all.

I can swallow pills. Although, I remember when I was 8 and went on my uncle's boat for the first time. I was given Dramamine, and I'd never swallowed pills before. It wound up desolving in my mouth - YUCK! To this day, prefer capsules or coated pills like Advil that won't do that.

I have difficulty swallowing pills and are afraid of getting choked on them and I easily gag. I'm a bit sensitive on that.

Here's what to do, I have done this since I was a kid:

Take a sip of a liquid, don't swallow yet, keep the head up, put pill or vitamin inside your mouth and swallow everything. Try not to think of anything for a moment when doing this. Maybe these should help. :)
