This is for the people who saw the tvland awards last night:
I think it was terrible that they didn't say anything about Don Knotts passing away. I thought for sure that they were going to show or say something about him. Like give a small tribute to him or something like that. He was a truly great man and he deserves to be recognized.
Does anyone else agree with me?

Yeah, I agree. But I think it was b/c his death was not long ago and maybe they didn't have time to set up a tribute. I mean, maybe they had time, they just didn't have enough show time. Atleast, for their sake, I hope that's why.

I wondered that too but the awards show this year i thought was not all that good anyways...out of the like 22 awards that were given out...they only did like 8 on TV and Diana Ross singing the last 10 minutes? i thought it was going to be better...

I know this may sound like it's basically coming from a John Ritter fan, but seriously...the award shows started going down after he hosted. That's just my opinion but, I only got to see random parts, but wasn't Snoop Dogg on there? 0_o Sorry, but he belongs on MTV Awards

I didn't even bother watching it. All those promo commercials with Megan Mullaly really turned me off to it. Too bad Henry Winkler wasn't chosen to
be the host.
John was a great host for the first one. If he were still alive, I bet he would have been asked to host it every year. :)

I think maybe they didn't have enough time either. Hopefully we will get to see something on next years!! Don so deserved it!!

I agree with you. In my opinion he was the best host out of all of them.

Cedric the Entertainer (yeah, great taste in classic TV)
It was a pretty good show, but it was tasteless to not do a tribute to Don Knotts.
