Hey everyone!

Ack! I haven't been on SO since yesterday when I posted the SO Interview threads (more than 24 hours ago!!). I have been trying to fight off this cold before it worsens, so I have been taking it easy. I've been napping a lot, taking cough syrup, ingesting vitamin C, etc. I ended up feeling better earlier today and going back to the last half of my work shift today. I am now feeling a lot better. I still have the lingering cough and all, but I am doing a little better. So that is my excuse of my absence here.

But anyway, thanks for the questions.... Here are my answers:

* James"Thunder"Early - What is your favorite movie?:
I don't just have one favorite movie or any at all. I do, however, have some all-time favorite movies that I own and find myself enjoying to view over and over and never grow tired of. These movies would be Poltergeist III and Don't Go to Sleep. Don't get me wrong. Even if these movies are horror/thrillers, it doesn't mean I enjoy these genres. I really don't. I just like these movies because of their special effects and the fact I grew up with them. I also like Office Space, The Lizzie McGuire movie, Memoirs of a Geisha, Amelié, and Return to Oz.

* Holly - Whats music do you listen to ?:
My taste in music has been broadening since the last couple of years. It all depends on my mood, but my music taste ranges from EuroDance to EuroPop to foreign language to TV themes to movie scores to Disney foreign songs to 80s music to 90s music to classical to classic rock to easy-listening to many more. Basically, I just don't really like to listen to rap (particularly gangsta rap), alternative, or heavy metal music.

* Holly - Where are you from? What is your favorite Color?:
I'm from the state of New Mexico. My favorite color is lilac. I also like the combo colors of yellow/blue which I consider as the patriotic Swedish flag color. ;)

Wow! I am surprised at how many SOers remember that I am such a HUGE fan of Ace of Base! You guys rock! :D

* Jack: Texas Smurftractor - Whats your fave Ace of Base song?:
I am going to have to go simple and say their first three American hits: All That She Wants, The Sign and Don't Turn Around. Other than these, I really enjoy their fast-paced, danceable songs such as Beautiful Life, Tokyo Girl, Travel to Romantis, Da Capo, and Cruel Summer (Big Bonus Mix).

* Jack: Texas Smurftractor - Are you embarrassed to admit youre an Ace of Base fan?:
No. Even if Ace of Base is pretty much out of the U.S. music scene, I find it to be such a pleasure to boast about my love and support for Ace of Base. It's interesting to be unique to be known to be as an American "Acer" (our dubbed name for AOB fans). We have a couple of online fan community forums where we all like to communicate with one another. Anyway, I usually incorporate some sort of promotion for Ace of Base in my class projects or while I play music while I sub for the computer classes. So, it's actually fun being unique.

* gilligan fanatic - what magazines do you subscribe to?:
I subscribed to "Redbook" through one of my co-worker friend's teen's school fundraising program. I don't know what's up with their status because I haven't received my first magazine yet. Man, they are slow! pissed: And I also subscribed for about 15 issues of The Walstreet Journal through my college's "student discount" through my Macroeconomics instructor. I am also waiting on those issues to begin. I guess it will be soon because I received an email confirmation this morning.

* _Jen_ - Do you like other versions of the song "The Sign" in addition to the version Ace Of Base sings?
Do you mean cover versions sung by other artists? I have listened to a couple of the American cover versions. Artists such as The Barenaked Ladies have sung a medley of Ace of Base songs. And these two guys named Andy & The Pandys have sung a couple of their songs. I am going to post their songs if anyone is interested in listening:

Barenaked Ladies - Live - Barenaked Rap (Ace of Base Mix):

Andy & The Pandys - All That She Wants (acoustic):

Andy & The Pandys - The Sign (acoustic):

But to answer your question, Jenny, I am going to have to say that the original Ace of Base song of "The Sign" has been well-sung, well-composed best by them, so it is my favorite. :)

Janice - What's your earliest childhood memory?
I actually have two memories. I cannot remember which one was the earliest, but they were around the same era, I would say. One was when I was about two or three years old, and I remember standing against the kitchen wall while my parents sitting on the kitchen chairs. I was just standing and listening or playing or something, and then I realized I "went" in my big girl panties. I remember being scared because, obviously, it must've been around the time a little after I was potty-trained; otherwise, I wouldn't have been so scared. I remember feeling scared, but I can't remember what happened after that.

I also remembered another time looking at this Pink Panther wall decoration hanging on the living room wall and just being terrified of it. I would stare at its eyes and move from side to side just swearing the eyes were following me! It was just creepy for a young child! I think I even hid it a couple of times under the sofa cushions! Although, it must've been when I was a little older because I don't think I would've thought about climbing the furniture at 2-3 years old to take it off the wall. At least, I don't think?

Janice - How do you envision your life five years from now?
That's a scary thought for me, as I will be in my 30s. Hmmm.... I would hope to have, at least, my first child by that time.

Janice - Are you a good cook?
I would say I am average. I think my mom and other maternal relatives are way better cooks than me because they learned from the best - my maternal grandmother (their mother). And they can all make such great Mexican dishes. Yum!! My mom and co-workers all say I make really great red chile sauce and homemade pizza, so that's an outsider's opinion. ;)

Janice - What is your style of dressing/fashion?
I tend to dress in a half casual/half dress-upy (if that's a real word?) type. Since I work at a community college, I don't really use jeans much anymore during the last six years of my working life. The only days we get to wear jeans is on Fridays which is casual day. The rest of the days has to be dressed up a little more. We have to dress a level above the students. Other times I dress almost the same.

Janice - Do you have any pets?
No. I am not interested in caring for any pets at this point in my life. I think caring for myself at the moment is quite enough for me, so I guess I would consider myself my own pet.

* IreneParalegal - where do you see yourself in ten years?
Same thing as Janice's "five-year" question, but maybe two kids and to own my own home. I would like to also feel somewhat comfortable in life by enjoying it and enjoying it with my future kids.

* IreneParalegal - what is your fave junk foods?
I love pigskins, chips/crisps (límon, salt `n` vinegar, hot flavors, and goat cheese - found in Europe), certain chocolate bars (Three Musketeers, White Nestlé Crunch, Kit Kat), and sodas.

* IreneParalegal - what color is your hair/eyes?
I have dark brown hair, and my eyes are hazel/green. They change shades with what I wear. So if I wear a lot of blue, they will turn sorta bluish.

* IreneParalegal - What country would you like to live in for six months?
Hmmmm.... I would have to say one of the European languages where English is really spoken/learned by its inhabitants. Countries such as Sweden, Holland, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, the UK, etc...

* IreneParalegal - what are your fave ethnic foods?
Mexican is my number one favorite ethnic foods. I don't know if I could really consider to be fully ethnic since I grew up with it. I am half Mexican myself. Other foods would be Chinese and other international foods.

* IreneParalegal - If you were a tree, what tree would you be and why?
A palm tree. I just like its shape. It's unique just like me. :)

* moeee - Do you like milk and cookies?
Yep, I love cookies and milk!! Because cookies are too sweet for me, I have to have them with a lot of milk! I love to drink lots of milk after eating all those cookies. Yum!!

* moeee - If you could change one thing, what would it be?
I would definitely like to be less controlling (mentally) towards certain people. I have that problem when it ties in with jealousy towards certain people in my life, preferrably special people in my life. I would also like to be less of a worry wart about things. I realize these traits are impossible to totally change, so I am more leaning on "rationalizing" these instead of changing them, realistically speaking.

* moeee - What is your favorite TV show or shows?
My favorite TV shows of all-time are Three's Company, Full House, Roseanne, Reba, and 8 Simple Rules (only the John Ritter episodes). I also like a ton of retro TV sitcoms such as Growing Pains, Fresh Prince, Married with Children, Dharma & Greg, Spin City, etc, etc....

* moeee - What is your favorite colors?
They are the same colors as I listed for Holly's question. ;) My favorite color is lilac. I also like the combo colors of yellow/blue which I consider as the patriotic Swedish flag color. :)

* Sam: Texas Smurftractor - how old are you?
I have a thing with revealing my age in public, but I will say that I am in my late 20s. :)

* Sam: Texas Smurftractor - did you/do you do well in school?
I would say I am average in my current college semesters. I don't exactly get straight A's nor do I get straight F's. It was the same thing for me in my required schooling years.

* Sam: Texas Smurftractor - what's your favorite book?
It might sound cheesy, but I really like this self-help resource book that I have talked about in several threads. It is by Albert Ellis and is entitled, "How to Stubbornly Refuse to Make Yourself Miserable About Anything, Yes Anything." It delves into miserable life situations that cause us to put out an irrational behavior and/or action and helps to recognize the negative pattern. The book helps to see/recognize these miserable patterns/thoughts and see things in a rational, realistic, better manner instead of sulking. It's a REALLY great book, in my opinon. It was strongly recommended to me last summer by a friend who also purchased this book, and it is no miracle worker, but it has shed some helpful input on seeing things in a better manner. There is so much to this book, but I really like it.

* Sam: Texas Smurftractor - tell me a story about a past experience.
Oh, wow... This could take a lonnnnnng time. I tend to ramble on and on. So, are you sure you want to read it? ;) Anyway, a past experience? Hmmm.... I am going to have to come back to your question so I can think more about it. I will come back to it. I promise. :)

* Sean McNamara - Do you wear glasses?
No. I used to wear glasses growing up up until when I was 17 years old only to correct one of my lazy eyes. I found the glasses to be a problem because I couldn't see far away with them, so I had to place them at the end of my nose just to see far away. I told my parents, and they eventually let me stop wearing them.

That was fun answering the questions! Please, ask me more. I love answering them!! Thank you all!! :D

I'm not sure if I mean cover versions or not. I'm not really sure what a cover version means. *covers eyes in embarrassment*
Oh, hehe... no worries. :) "Cover version" means a remake of a song, so I was wondering if that's what you were asking. ;)

* Fonzarelli - Who's your favorite celebrity (aside from the Ace of Base'ers ;) )?
Hmmm.... I am really not big on being a celebrity fanatic, actually. I love to watch all these sitcoms and stuff, but I mostly enjoy the plotlines and the characters. I would say I do like to watch the continuous works of John Ritter, Katey Segal, and Joyce DeWitt the most.

* Fonzarelli - Which celebrity do you dislike?
The celebrities who annoy me the most have to be Madonna and Celine Dion. There is just something about them I really dislike...mostly their existence, I would say? I know that's not a valid answer, but I have just never clicked in liking these artists.

* Sean McNamara - Are you watching the TV Land Awards tonight?
A funny thing.... I didn't intend on watching them, but there was nothing else on TV. I then decided to tune in to check it out, and I began watching one of the nominations with a scene of "Roseanne." I was also surfing on the computer, so I got distracted. When I get distracted, my brain accidentally "tunes the TV" out unless it's something I have seen many times and can just listen without watching. So that is what was happening because I was chatting with a friend for hours on end on-and-off while surfing and updating some journal entries.
