Does anyone know how well the season one DVD set of CIC is selling?

No idea. You can check the Amazon.com sales rank if that helps. It changes drastically each week so it's not a good figure to use.

I got my copy off Ebay, so I doubt that would be included in any sales figures.

I would hope Season One sold well enough to continue the series on DVD. There is even a possibility of Season Two outselling the first one because it seems that most fans of the show prefer the Powell family to the Pembrokes.

I just got mine for $24.99 instead of the original $34.99. Neat price tag.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment released a 3-disc set of the first season of Charles in Charge on DVD in North America on February 14, 2006. Due to poor sales, no further seasons were released.

In September 2007, it was announced that Arts Alliance America (which subsequently changed its name to Virgil Films & Entertainment during the summer of 2007) had acquired the rights to the series.[9] They subsequently released seasons 2-5 on DVD. Seasons 4 and 5 were Manufacture-on-Demand (MOD) releases, available exclusively through Amazon.com.[10][11]

As of 2011, the Arts Alliance releases have been discontinued and are out of print.

I'm guessing that the DVD sales for Season 1 were poor because to the general public, Charles in Charles didn't really "begin" so to speak until Season 2, when the show moved from CBS to first-run syndication and the Powells became Charles' employers.

I'm still hoping for a complete series release so I can get the last 2 seasons.
