Couldn't they have just waited for Lena horne to leave before paying Fred the money he won from the Bet?-lol Damm you would expect something like that from GRADY WILSON-lol

YUp, like they were in between 60 and 65-lol John Amos was more believable as a 65 year old man than Redd Foxx-lol

....And just like his James Evans character, he wasn't too bright in that episode either. He blabbed out in front Lena that it was a bet. Everybody pays fifteen bucks a piece.

Consider that neither Fred nor his friends were very bright, and in order for the script to work, the payoff had to be in front of Lena. Speaking of this episode, remember when there was a knock at the door before Lena arrived, and Fred runs to answer it, thinking it was Lena? It's Esther, so Fred says "That's not my Lena...this must be somebody's hyena!" :lol:
