Cool, I'll pick mine up tomorrow. My favorite episode of season 3 is Ho Ho The Clown, and Uncle Arthur's second visit. I also like the one where Samantha defends Aunt Clara to keep her from having to be earth bound.

I got my DVD set yesterday. And let me tell you, It is a real joy to see "bewitched" as it is intended to be- uncut and unedited. But one thing that would have been cool for extras- the ORIGINAL openings with the sponsors opening and closings (as seen on Vic's Bewitched page). And original commercials with the cast and promos. I'll bet it must have been a bonanza year for the first COLOR season of "Bewitched".

I love seeing those openings on the Bewitched page, also love seeing the house he visited. Maybe they will be included on future Bewitched sets, hopefully.

The two part Ben Franklin episode looks like it was cut. The end of the first episode the screen fades to black for ages while the music plays. Did they cut out a 'to be continued' caption?

The second part opens straight away with the credits. I have not watched it all but it doesn't look like there is a recap. The episode also runs a minute or two short of the average 25 minutes.

Shame as the 2 parter they had during the second season with the guy who blackmailed Sam had a recap and a 'to be continued' caption if my memory serves me correctly.

I have to say that I have really enjoyed this third series, much more than the first two I think. I found some of the episodes in the first two seasons a bit slow but nearly all of the third series has been a joy to watch. I watched the whole thing within a couple of weeks.

can't wait for series 4 as that contains one of my fav episodes, the one with the pie fight with Sam, Darrin, Endora and Serena. The look of Endora when she gets it is great. Anyone know when it will be released? I imagine August as I read somewhere that the gap between releases is about 5 months.

On Living tv today they screened the second part of the Ben Franklin episode. I missed the first minute or two though as the show started early. I did get to see that there was a recap though that WAS edited out of the dvd version. Sam narates the recap from part one.

What is it with dvd companies making big foul ups with their dvd releases? Surely the recap was on the master tapes they used? Did some idiot actually decide to cut it off?

I wonder why we can't have the original opening and closing credits for most all of our shows on dvd? That would be awesome and also include the opening and closing network id logos too. Seems this would be the proper way to do things for people paying for the dvd. Heck I would even want the original commercials included too. I know that is a bit much for most people but I like to do things complete. Besides in the good old days you had 3 or 4 minutes commercials per half hour, not freaking 9 minutes of them

That's so true storrs, I have a tape of Mayberry RFD and one of The Munsters and they only had one commercial then it was back to the show.

....the third season DVD set WON'T tell you....and I discovered this when "My Friend Ben" was originally listed in TV GUIDE in December 1966: at the time, Fredd Wayne was appearing as Benjamin Franklin in a one-man show that had been touring the country. Somehow, someone on the staff knew this, and approached him to recreate his historic persona in that two-part episode, which he happily agreed to.

Another interesting fact is that "My Friend Ben" has no laugh track. Personally, I prefer not to have a laugh track as I find them stupid. I remember there was an episode of IDOJ without one also, I think it was where the Russian Cosmonaut visits NASA.

Didn't you also find it strange that almost all the 60's comedies had the same laugh tracks. You can hear ladies laugh that sounds like, heckle heckle.

This is one of my favorite episodes of all time. Ho Ho Ho everybody, classic. Endora didn't like him either, she's funny. Who and what is Ho Ho the clown?

....is the episode where Endora uses her "magical influence" to make Tabitha the "center of attention" on Hoho the Clown's [Joey Forman] TV show...just as Darrin's latest client is sponsoring the show!
