Check this out...

http://local.live.com/default.aspx?wip=2&v=2&style=r&rtp=~&&msnurl=home.aspx?%26redirect%3dfalse&msnculture=en-US

Just type in your address in the box that says "Use Current Map View" then click the arrow next to the box.

A map of the area you typed in will come up...then click "Bird's Eye" in the box in the left corner and start searching for your house. It is really freaky!

Here is a picture of my house...

Freaky... and what's even worse is how the images are HQ! If Microsoft has such good access to our homes via satellite, imagine what the government has access to!

I found mine but there are so many trees around that you really can't see much. Our barn shows up really good though

I have Google Earth, it does the same thing. However, bird's eye view is not available for everyone. It is for only select areas Brian.

That site has an excellent shot of my house from the front. In fact it even has some of my neighbors in the shot. My house is on the other side of Fleet's house ;)

Actually it didn't even have a picture of my house, it just showed a map of it.

Yes I have tried it and it is great. Googleearth I couldn't get. But from seeing what others have written I don't think I am missing much. This is better.

Hey, I think that's my "wife." The one in the white shirt. :D

BTW, I definitely found my house. I could see one of my cars parked in the street, and all of the trees were in the right location.

I found my house, it was still far off. It wouldn't let me use the birds eye feature, and that whole print screen thing to capture the picture doesn't work on my computer for some reason.

Wow, some of you have huge homes.

As for me, I couldn't get it on that, so I did it on Google Earth. First is my apartment. It's on the third floor, so I'm right under the roof. :D And the second one is the view I have from here. Er....except for that crevace. Must be just a computer glitch cause that's just a street

Hmmmm, well since the one in your avatar has her face covered, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.:lol:

Yeah, I guess I'll stick with Mary Ann.
Too bad... the Wandering Spirit did have some good points... like being able to walk (or float) through walls and disappear.

www.mapquest.com used to have it set it where you could run a search for aerial directions/maps off their website. I checked a few minutes ago, but I no longer see it. My theory is they took it off their site because of all the competition from Google and MS on aerial directions. Sorry. :(
