I have really curly hair that tends to frizz and poof out...A LOT. So i just put a lot of gel in it and then usually put it in a bun and have some of the hair fall out. And I shampoo with some Panteen Pro-V shampoo and conditioner that's supposed to have all these proteins and stuff that are good for your hair and make it stronger and all that jazz.

I, right now anyway, use Bed Head Shampoo and Tresemme Conditioner. Given if I feel like it or not, I'll put either Neutrogena Triple Moisture Serum in it wet, or Paul Mitchell Sculpting Lotion (I don't like that as well...it doesn't leave my hair very soft). Or sometimes I'll just spray some of that Heat Tamer Tresemme stuff in it. Then blow dry in straight.

My hair tends to be flyaway, which is why my stylist told me to get that Paul Mitchell stuff, but it's still flyaway with that.

I rarely, if ever, use hair spray or gel - but I do condition my hair every time I wash it. Herbel Essences, Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree, Garnier Fructise and Prell are some of my favorite shampoos.

I don't remember the brand name, but, I use shampoo and conditioner for brunettes. Once in awhile, I use Studio styling gel.

I shampoo and condition my hair everyday. I always blow dry it. I'll throw on a few hot rollers or use a curling iron when I'm going somewhere. Once a week, I use a deep conditioner and leave it on for 20 minutes.

I go to the hair stylist every seven weeks for a cut and highlights.

That's about it.

Does anyone know anyone who's had their hair chemically straighetened?

My friend's sister has...and her hair is a LOT less frizzier and more manageable now.

I'm debating whether or not I want to do it, but I want to make sure I know both sides to it before.

I wanted to have that done, but apparently it's very $$$, doesn't last too long, and is extremely bad for your hair. I deep condition my hair every day and it makes it a lot easier to work with.

I wash and condition it every other day. I'm told that's better than doing it every day. Plus, I think my hair looks its best the day after I wash it. After I wash it I use Aveda color conserve leave-in conditioner. That's a good product to use. After my hair is dry I put in Aveda light elements finishing solution. I LOVE that stuff. I just started using that within the past 6 months and it's great. I totally notice the difference in my hair now. It really helps a lot with flyaways and my hair looks so much better. I didn't really have that frizzy of hair but mostly flyaways. If you want smoother hair try aveda ligh elements! It's a bit pricey though- $20 for a 6.7 oz bottle. But you're supposed to use like a little drop at a time so it lasts a very long time.

I heard it's getting cheaper, because of the fact that it's been out for a long time. And it lasts up to nine months.

My mom's hair is erratically wavy and also so course, it could be like black hair, so our guy put straightener on it like they do with course black hair. But it was weird, cuz it turned the gray yellow and left it really dry.
