It didn't look like it was much underwear in that box. They were only selling them for .50 if I am not mistaken. I don't think they would have made enough even if they did sell all of them.

That's one of my favorite episodes! It cracks me up everytime. J.J probably spent more on the underwear than what they made.

Question for those of you who have seen the uncut version - Is there a scene where a lady at the sale says she has someone in her family that can use that unusual bra? Seems like I remember that, but I'm not sure.

Yes, that's in the uncut version.

that would be me!:D Yes, some lady did buy that bra. the look on the kids faces is hilarious.

no way would they have made that much money on that stuff. NO WAY!!!!

Lake Geneva $48!!!??? That's crazy. They must serve peanut butter sandwiches and kool-aid for the meals there. The rooms must have cots in them.

And did we see anyone actually buying any and paying the family and Willona?

I don't think J.J, Michael and Thelma thought about how Florida was going to EAT once she arrived at Lake Geneva-lol

Aha! I thought I was missing something. Stupid TvLand editing! :( I gotta get the DVDs, I guess.

I thought $48 wasn't enough for a trip even in the 70s. Your comments make me wonder if it was a $48 roundtrip. If so, I think there should have been a very special episode about Florida and Willona working their way home.

I don't even understand this. Ok, my assumption is that the $48 covers 48 hours of fun in the sun. The ladies have to get there on their own. Am I right or wrong? How would they get there? You bring up a good question Gidget!!!!

I would assume bus or train, but that would obviously cost money.

Good question! I know I would've loved to actually SEE the woman who needed to wear a 3-cup bra! That would've made a truly funny episode a CLASSIC!! :brent

Wouldn't you have loved to see Lenny hawking 3-cup bras in his coat??

The lady that bought that bra said it was for her granddaughter. So my assumption is that the person is in fact, a very young lady, perhaps around 17.
