What is it and why?

I can't remember who the character actor was,(Jesse White?) but Ann Marie has a big audition. He had two comments for her. Ann Marie ..what? (as in what's her last name???) His other comment was, she looks just like a well-scrubbed Idaho potato. (How flattering!)
