Believe it or not, there's a clean version of the cover to Marylin Manson's CD "Mechanical Animals," which has him covering up his fake breasts with a censorship card that contains a cartoon image of him that's amazingly similar to the image of Marlo Thomas on the kite she flew in the opening theme.

A lot of you may not be pleased to read this, but if anyone here is more open-minded, they can understand what I'm talking about.

Im not really into Marylin Manson's music, but I think it's so cool that he would do something like this! If it is indeed based on Marlo's kite image, then I think "That Girl" has suddenly gained major coolness and hipness points with a new generation! Kinda is a good feeling to know that even "The Manson" is at least aware of the show!

In all honesty, I don't think it was intended to have anything to do with the kite. But the similarity of the artistic style to that segment is impossible to ignore. Maybe I'll post it here if I can find a pic of the clean version.

...meanwhile, D-Dey, I'll have to look for that CD in the stores and check it out. Maybe I'll even buy it! (by the way, is your name a play on Susan's last name?)

No, it's just a surname that she and I happen to share. BTW, if you're looking for the CD, I reiterate, make sure it's the one with the "clean" cover.
