I watched her show last night. They were discussing the DNA evidence that Jeffrey MacDonald (in prison for killing his pregnant wife and two daughters) has been screaming abt for years; MaDonald has stated repeatedly that if this hair from underneath Collette's fingernail would be DNA tested, it would exonerate him. Well, the DNA was done...and guess what???? The hair tested is his! it is a hair from his limb. Does this mean he killed her? Not really, I mean, they were husband and wife, she could surely have picked up that hair at anytime during the day or evening with him; however, the reason this is making news is because it is MACDONALD WHO HAS BEEN STATING OVER AND OVER AGAIN that he would be exonerated and the hair would prove to NOT be his. My opinion, is that the right killer is where he belongs. This new DNA result only means that Collette HAD NO ONE ELSE'S DNA under her fingernails, only her husband's.

If he didn't do it then why did he flee to Britain? He didn't want to come back to the states.

His daughter was such a pretty baby. How could he??? :crying:

MacDonald has lied for so many years about the murders that he probably really believes he is not guilty.

Heh!

He got angry at the author of Fatal Vision (Joe McGinniss) when the author, who MacDonald figured would be a supporter, actually ended up writing about the murderer that MacDonald really is. Yeah, well...

One of MacDonald's big things is to boast that he was a Green Beret, a hero. Such a person couldn't do something so horrendous. Ugh! My brother-in-law was a Green Beret at about the same time as good-ol-Jeff. He (my bro-in-law) despises the fact that MacDonald even mentions the military unit. Jeff never left the US; he was a teacher. Heroic Green Berets go into battle, as did my bro-in-law in Viet Nam.

True. A pathological liar BELIEVES THEIR OWN LIES. They know nothing else. He not only got angry with Joe McGinnis, he sued and received $300,000!!!
Green Beret my ass...that's an insult to true green berets and other heroes. Of course the hair in her hand would be HIS. No one can tell me a woman who struggled for her life, was stabbed, beaten, etc. the last strand of hair in her hand would be no one else's but her husbands. And it was from his limb of all things. If I put up a fight for my life, I doubt highly any DNA under my fingernail would be anyone else's but the killer's.

I know this case by heart. He's so guilty it's not even funny. I get pissed when I think of those years of freedom he had. How could he stab those little dolls and his wife. Fatal Vision...good book, good movie.
