I think that she was also in the "Fred Sanford, Legal Eagle" episode. She was a woman who was sitting in the seats behind the tables.

She was a lot uglier then Esther. I never really thought Esther was that ugly anyway.

I know. I could kind of see how Esther was probably something of a looker in her younger days, especially in the episodes where she dressed up. DOLLY on the other hand . . . DAMN.

That's a tough choice but I'd say Dolly was uglier than Aunt Esther. The ugliest woman on the show though was definitely Mrs. Hopkins.

Not only was she the ugliest woman on Sanford and Son, but she had no place on there. She was way out of place. I also couldn't stand the multiple characters Fritzi Burr was in. She definitely wasn't no prize. I dissed her on the What's Happening board.

I liked her in the "Commitee Man" episode, or at least Fred's interaction with her:

FRED: (Seeing her for the first time and squinting in pain) I DON'T believe it!!! A WHITE ESTHER!!!

LOL

That was a good interaction between Fred and her. But, if you look at it, all her characters were snobs on the show. Just look at her face! They should have made her a regular, maybe to be Hoppy's mother, so Fred could tear her up all the time.

True. She would have been better as Hoppy's mother than the other lady.

Well it was a OFF SCREEN marriage. When the spinoff started in the fall of 1977 called "SANFORD ARMS" Grady and Dolly was already married. But like you said it never happened on Sanford and Son just something that was written in the script for the Spinoff

See you could tell Fred thought Dolly was uglier because he could barely look at her. With Esther he would just clown her and say she was ugly but Fred knew she wasn't ugly, he just knew she wasn't pretty. But he knew Dolly was a TRUE MONSTER-lol
