hello does anybody remember the osmonds and jackson five saturday morning cartoon shows i no you all are not a cartoon expert, but when you look at the cartoons such as the archies, brady kids osmonds and j5 what is the purpose of having those SILHOUETTES cartoon images i am just curious thats all later

Yes, I remember Rankin/Bass used those silhouettes quite a bit on both THE
JACKSON 5 and THE OSMONDS cartoons (esp. in the opening title sequences).
My guess is they did that because they were much easier to draw if all
the animator had to do was the outline. So, it was probably a time-saving
(and money-saving) device. It requires less ink to just draw a silhouette.

I do. Gosh, that makes me feel so old. At least during that time Michael Jackson was awesome. Not the freak we now know him to be.
