If you go to the TV.com website and open the Get Smart page, there is a link there from raredvds.tv and they are advertising the complete unedited Get Smart series on DVD. They have other shows for sale also, and claim to have superb quality. Is anyone here familiar with this company? Are they reputable, OK to buy from? If anyone has info, please post.

Those sites are rip offs!
some of them advertise on my freewebs page too

the quality is the EXACT SAME AS ELSEWHERE

for example GIMME A BREAK, they have the EXACT SAME SET i have BUT they put labels on it and print up a case and charge someome $119.99 for it

THEY EVEN PUT IT at $149.99 THEN PUT IT ON SALE for less-- GIMME A BREAK INDEED!
its the same # of discs and same set! I KNOW b/c someone i traded it too, MADE THE MISTAKE OF BUYING THAT SET, and for the extra $$$$ u get a case with a printed cover from a computer printer!! RIP OFF CITY!!!!!

Yeah, I always like when they include:

"RareDVDs is a producer, distributor and reseller of entertainment on dvd. All our products are official copies"

...hey, it's official if said it on a webpage, right?!?

i mean, they attempt to make collector discs, LOOK like they are studio releases--- i just think that they must surely have a lot of angry people when people shell out $200 for a set they can get on ioffer for $50 :)

I also got a kick out of the returns policy:

"Our returns policy is simple. You can return your purchase within 30 days of receipt for any reason whatsoever."

...and we'll keep them, along with your money - so go ahead and return them! lol!

I had someone get GIMME A BREAK from me
and then they saw that ad and said

"GIMME A BREAK is available on such and such site--- the full series and it looks like an official release" ----- SO

I told them, "Pay Pal me $90 and I'll make you a case, like that site sells!"
ha ha ha

People need to use caution when shopping on line, but as long as the place sells what they advertise- complete unedited episodes and good quality- is the important thing. Their price for the Get Smart series comes to about 32 bucks per season, which seems about right for sitcom season sets.

They attempt to make collector discs?!!!!!!

Are you kidding me??

Would you like me to list MY sets that he is selling ??

Over half of those sets come from people who are on this board and others.

If you are looking to buy, I am selling the exact same sets.

i was saying they attempt to make the collector sets APPEAR to be studio releases NOT that they were the ones making them

I can vouch that the sets are the same ones people trade here, and someone gets them from people on this site and they end up on those sites

the GIMME A BREAK Set is my set that i did up, quality is 7.5 but they try to trick people into thinking it is a studio release

i am sure that some of jokers work ends up there too

those type of sets are dishonest as they charge people ridiculous prices and most of the buyers do NOT know what they are getting for their $$$$
