Well, personally, I like "Anthology" because it has most of the greatest Monkees songs ever recorded. "More of the Monkees" is my favorite album the Monkees actually recorded in '67, not just a compilation. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Pieces, Capricorn, Aquarius (sp?), and Jones and More of the Monkees. Oh, and the one after The Birds, the Bees, and the Monkees, but for some dumb reason I can't remember the name!

This is tough, but if I had to pick a favorite I'd have to say Headquarters-because it not only had memorable songs, but more actual musical participation by the Monkees than any album before or since.

From the original four: Headquarters.
From the 3Kees (any version): The Monkees Present.
Listen to the Band should've been a hit.

Me too! I love HEAD! It is by far, their best album. It's also the last album that was made by all 4 of them.

Headquarters because it represents the first real album the Monkees did as a group, not as Don Kirshners puppets. This album displayed their true talents as muscians and represented the winning of their artistic freedom from Kirshner
