:D , I just came back from doing the commentary last week. It was a lot of fun. Me and Russell Johnson do the commentary for the season opener The Sixth Finger, also on One in Every Port. Russell Johnson also talks about the mess when they were filming the episode Lovey's Quandry.

The Featurete has a ton of archive footage with the GI cast and also has James Arness from Gunsmoke on it. It is 52 minutes long.

Another special feature on the DVD is the lost unaired episode where Adam West and Burt Ward guest star on.

Hmm... guessing there's an inside joke here. :D

(BTW, there's an easter egg on there as well which contains lost cast commercials with an introduction from me, as I was the original choice for Gilligan :D ).

LOL MadScientist! I'd really love to see that Season 4 collection! "The Sixth Finger" and "Lovey's Quandry" would have been a hoot----and you guys came up with some terrific extras. Also I LOVED the altered box!

I don't know, though, if I'd want to see the Skipper kill Estelle in "One in Every Port." It's funny to read, but murdering someone with a large rock doesn't really fit with the Skipper or the show.

...but when "GILLIGAN" returned for its fourth season in September 1967, wasn't "GUNSMOKE" knocked off the air because CBS executives overruled chairman William Paley on his suggestion to move it to Mondays at 7:30pm(et)
because they told him flat out, "Nobody wants to see westerns anymore!"?
We all know "GILLIGAN" wouldn't have had a fourth season at 7:30 Monday nights if "GUNSMOKE" HAD been picked up for its 13th season...too bad it only lasted 12!

This was just announced today. GI Season 4 just won an award at the TVDVD Awards in Hollywood. It won best set of the year. I lost the award for "best commentary" to the cast of the Simpsons though.

Sorry to hear you lost out to the Simpsons, GF, but that's what happens when the TVDVD Awards are broadcast on Fox. ;) :D
