I got in a huge cartoon lot today and among it was the bonus of the Coneheads cartoon -

was there more than a pilot does anyone know- I can't find any info on it.

Based on the SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE characters created by Dan Aykroyd , Tom
Davis and Lorne Michaels, the animated TV special "THE CONEHEADS" was
produced by Rankin/Bass and Broadway Video and first aired on NBC on Oct.
14, 1983. It featured the voices of Aykroyd, Jane Curtin, Laraine Newman,
Cynthia Adler, Davis and Bob McFadden. (THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF ANIMATED

More info can be found in Rick Goldschmidt's book THE ENCHANTED WORLD OF
RANKIN/BASS. Goldschmidt states that it "was originally meant to be a
series, but the series never materialized." It seems "there was some
creative friction between the teams [Davis & Frankin and Rankin & Bass},"
according to the show's continuity artist, Don Duga. Jack Davis (of MAD
magazine) did the early designs. Unfortunately, they were later redesigned
and most of his style was lost in the process.
