It is a tie amongst those three, although I would add NYPD Blue to the mix, although it is not a sitcom like the subject line suggests. They were in Peekskill, New York. Nordy 02-01-2016, 11:23 PM I would have to say Mad About You. I really like Helen Hunt but this show is terrible! I loved him and Rachel together, the best part of the show!!! ;) treky 02-03-2016, 04:43 AM yes, I liked them too. But you have to admit that whole "getting together-breaking up, getting together, breaking up...was unrealistic especially when it happen for like the 900th time. Svenfan1234 04-12-2016, 08:10 PM I don't like these NYC sitcoms: Friends Sex and the City Seinfeld Everybody Hates Chris How I Met Your Mother 30 Rock Caroline in the City Here are my favorites: Diff'rent Strokes All in the Family Barney Miller I Love Lucy The Jeffersons Nordy 04-16-2016, 09:31 PM Well, Nordy doesn't like it either! That's right I don't and I stand by that!  AMackII 09-14-2019, 06:03 PM The Nanny Mad About You Too2muchtv 09-14-2019, 09:33 PM I Love Lucy All in the Family Archie Bunker's Place Friends icecream 09-15-2019, 06:55 AM Wow, I didn't know Caroline in the City was so hated, 5 different posters in this thread listed it as one of their least favorite NYC sitcoms. While not near the level of classic New York sitcoms like I Love Lucy, Barney Miller, Seinfeld, Diff'rent Strokes, and Mad About You, it could still have good moments. And Caroline in the City gets props from me for being one of the few shows with a regular cat. :cat: TV Guy 09-15-2019, 12:58 PM Mad About You RetroGuy2000 09-15-2019, 01:10 PM I know it has its fans, but I do not like Night Court. It always made New York City seem like such a sleazy dump. andress_jade 09-15-2019, 09:27 PM I can't believe how much Friends is hated on here, it's one of my favorite shows! RetroGuy2000 09-15-2019, 11:23 PM I can't believe how much Friends is hated on here, it's one of my favorite shows! Same here. Loved the early seasons, even liked the later seasons a lot. For me, the first four seasons are just so classic 1990s; there's something very special about them. And they were one of the few shows where everyone stayed on, year after year: no abrupt departures. I love that. I was surprised by the Friends hate, but I guess it's a show you either love or don't love. Crusinforabrusin2.5 09-20-2019, 01:57 PM Night Court dee2364 09-20-2019, 09:10 PM Friends. Here was a show taking place in one of the most diverse cities in all of NYC, and it was the least diverse. I didn't even really care about having an all-white cast (I love Seinfeld). It was just that for atmosphere, casting didn't even bother having a few minorities passing back and forth in the background to make it more like NYC. |
