i'm just wondering because mine has crashed once every year since we got it (not necessarily around the same time), and right now it appears that the sixth annual crash is nearing. the last time it happened was february of last year.

So far, this computer I am using right now hasn't crashed on me. I got it in August 2001, so this coming August will make it five years ago.

Mine freezes up everynight anymore. :(

Mine just shuts down and restarts. The last time it was broken was for a few weeks in October and was so annoying cause I had to do all my work on campus computers. Blah, I'm hoping that doesn't happen again.

Severe crash....never. I just deal with freezes and other random crap, mostly caused by my ISP.

A few weeks ago a computer programmer friend of mine gave my computer a once over and fixed all of the problems on my computer - problems that were probably my doing.

So it's been a while since my computer has frozen.

This new computer (about 1 month old) has crashed at least 3 times already. I was used to letting the old one stay up all night (in case I couldn't sleep to surf the net), when I did that to this one the next morning I had nothing. I had to put a curfew on it of 10-11pm tops. :lol:

I dont leave mine on when Im done but the longest I guess it hasnt locked up or something was maybe 7 hours..... But Im usually not on that long anyway....

Right now my uptime is: 3:00:11 (3 hours and 11 seconds)


I was afraid to reply to this thread as I dont want Foggy to get mad at me but I figure he will get over it.....

I have an old Professional Lenovo. and it's holding up pretty good considering it's age. A tech guy did what he called a minor operation on it some yrs ago and it was so worth what I paid him.

Plus I have a maintenance deal with Frontier that I pay 10/mo.

Since I posted the above, I just got hit with a huge fear email all the bells and whistles about my computer having issues, I SWEAR they know everying. I deleted the fearmongering message............%$%#&#&%#&

Yuck.......... Yes dont let it worry ya!!!!!
