View Full Version : What's the longest your computer has gone without crashing?
Hollow 03-12-2006, 12:54 AM i'm just wondering because mine has crashed once every year since we got it (not necessarily around the same time), and right now it appears that the sixth annual crash is nearing. the last time it happened was february of last year.

So far, this computer I am using right now hasn't crashed on me. I got it in August 2001, so this coming August will make it five years ago.
*continues knocking wood so as to not jinx what I wrote above*
EmoJoe 03-12-2006, 01:00 AM hasnt really done any major crashing yet, but occasionaly it'll freeze up and act all slowly.

Mine freezes up everynight anymore. :(
Czas na Zywiec 03-12-2006, 01:58 AM Mine just shuts down and restarts. The last time it was broken was for a few weeks in October and was so annoying cause I had to do all my work on campus computers. Blah, I'm hoping that doesn't happen again.
dawsongirl 03-12-2006, 05:14 AM Severe crash....never. I just deal with freezes and other random crap, mostly caused by my ISP.

Hollow 03-12-2006, 06:47 AM ? :grr: maybe my definition is different; by crash i mean all the files, programs and every thing that didn't come with the computer being erased.
gilligan fanatic 03-12-2006, 09:38 AM never, this computer is great
A few weeks ago a computer programmer friend of mine gave my computer a once over and fixed all of the problems on my computer - problems that were probably my doing.
So it's been a while since my computer has frozen.

Kazza 03-12-2006, 01:59 PM This new computer (about 1 month old) has crashed at least 3 times already. I was used to letting the old one stay up all night (in case I couldn't sleep to surf the net), when I did that to this one the next morning I had nothing. I had to put a curfew on it of 10-11pm tops.

Hey Dude, dogs get Mad, people get Angry and furthermore if a person chooses to be angry at you or anyone, it's their choice, not yours and NONE of Our Business.
I have an old Professional Lenovo. and it's holding up pretty good considering it's age. A tech guy did what he called a minor operation on it some yrs ago and it was so worth what I paid him.
Plus I have a maintenance deal with Frontier that I pay 10/mo.
Caroline13 10-28-2024, 03:54 PM Since I posted the above, I just got hit with a huge fear email all the bells and whistles about my computer having issues, I SWEAR they know everying. I deleted the fearmongering message............%$%#&#&%#&
