View Full Version : Perfumes and Colognes?
Janice 03-11-2006, 10:37 PM Do you use them? Only one or do you have several fragrances?
I usually wear 'Truth' by Calvin Klein. I also like a couple of Estee Lauder's, mainly 'Beautiful' and 'Private Collection'.
swedeace 03-11-2006, 10:49 PM I do use them, and I have some perfumes and body sprays.
The kinds I like to use are the floral scents.
Some of the scents/brands I use are:
Body Sprays:
-Avon's Naturals - "Sea"
-Calgon's "Hawaiian Ginger" (I don't really like the scent, but it was a gift for my birthday)
-Sarah Michael's "Rose Mist"
-Bath & Body Works' "Fresia"
Perfumes:
-Victoria's "Secret Garden" (got this for my birthday in 2002)
-Avon's "Goddess"
Courtnee 03-11-2006, 11:26 PM I wear Britney Spears "Curious" or Shania Twain's perfume

TripperFan 03-11-2006, 11:55 PM Used to wear Eternity since it was introduced in 88 or so, but recently switched to Givenchy's Yasitis. Have tried a bunch other of others but feel most "comfortable" in those.

Brian Damage 03-12-2006, 12:38 AM I don't use Cologne any more, but I used to wear "Tommy" from Tommy Hilfiger.

Jonathan 03-12-2006, 01:59 AM I like Curve if I use anything. I also really liked something by Adidas. Not sure of the exact name though. I think I tried Calvin Klien and Tommy some too, but I am not really sure. I am not too fond of many colognes.
Czas na Zywiec 03-12-2006, 02:01 AM Axe. And it seems to do the job, so I'm happy. :D
[QUOTE=Brieannas21]I wear...
DKNY Cashmere Mist
I'm wearing Cashmere Mist lotion right now. I love that stuff *smells hands*
dawsongirl 03-12-2006, 04:44 AM I wear them occasionally as an alternative to deodorant. lol
I have Victoria's Secret....something.
Clinique Happy
Some Vanilla ones
Karen* 03-12-2006, 06:04 AM I use Curious by Britney Spears, and I also use body sprays from Bath and Body Works. Right now, it's Cherry Blossom and Black Raspberry Vanilla.
Brad Russ 03-12-2006, 11:53 AM Naah, no cologne for me. I pretty much just take a couple showers each day, and use deodorant. I don't like to bring attention to myself. One time, when I was in school, this girl said I smelled good because of some deodorant I was wearing. Most people would be happy to hear something like that from a cute girl, but my reaction to this was to throw that deodorant away, and buy an unscented kind the next day. Now, I only wear the unscented kind.
I still get complimented for my good hygiene all the time, but I don't think that'll cause me to stop using soap when I shower. If I became that extreme, I'd have to move to France. :joke:
Holly 03-12-2006, 05:10 PM I always buy "Sweet Honesty" spells pretty good.
Tuesday Weld 03-12-2006, 07:13 PM I really don't care for perfume, most of it is too strong-smelling.
Living In a '70's Dream 03-12-2006, 08:18 PM I absolutely adore perfume and my favorite is Vera Wang!!!

But I usually wear Beyond Paradise from Estee Lauder or Celine Dion's Notes perfume.
Number 9 Dream 03-12-2006, 10:57 PM My sister bought this Victoria Secret body spray I swear to god it smells like fruit roll ups!!!!! I LOVE IT! Can't think of the name though :( :D
I believe the one you're thinking about is called Love Spell :D I wear that one a lot too! It's so amazing.
Anyway, I'm not a big perfume wearer-- I love body sprays! From Victoria's Secret I like Love Spell, Amber Romance, Strawberries and Champagne, and Forever Romance.
I also wear this cheap stuff called Kiwi Melon from the Body Source. Man, it smells sooo yummy.
I like Pink Suede and Night Magic Evening Musk.
freshprinceofLA 03-27-2007, 12:36 AM The closest thing I use to cologne is spray on deodorant you know stuff like Old Spice and AXE
Max Whittaker 03-27-2007, 12:49 AM I don't use cologne. I've never found one that I like and I figure why bother? I have a natural scent. If that's not good enough, nothing will be.
Besides, insects seem more attracted to my cologne that women!
PZelda 03-27-2007, 01:04 AM I never replied to this thread? Damn. Well.
- Clinique Happy
- Clinique Happy Heart
- Clinique Happy To Be (see a pattern here )
- Escada Sunset Heat
I gotta agree with Max... I've found I prefer males to NOT wear cologne. If I smell cologne on them, it makes me nervous. It's like they're going "HEY SEXY GIRL I AM GONNA PUT MY MOVES ON YOU, AND I AM GONNA BRAINWASH YOU WITH MY OVERPOWERING AMOUNT OF COLOGNE." :faint: I've heard that males have a weaker sense of smell, which is why females always complain that it smells like they were bathing in cologne. lol
Seriously... Take advice from a female. Two sprays is enough, MAX. Even just one is enough, because they make these "for men" colognes pretty strong.
But you guys didn't ask for my advice on how much to apply. So, I'll shut up.
Already Gone 03-27-2007, 08:56 AM I use Sparkling Sugar by Avon or anything that has a light fragrance.
YoliUSA 03-27-2007, 01:58 PM -Gap's "Dream More"
-"Red Door Revealed"
-Some Avon body sprays ("be...spontaneous", Avon Senses fantastic day)
-"Sweet Honesty"
-"Imari Satin"
-spa brown sugar and spa sugar
Courtnee 03-27-2007, 02:25 PM I wear Britney Spears "Curious" or Shania Twain's perfume
Now I wear Paris Hilton's on special occasions. I wear body spray on regular days, though.

I agree. Too much cologne on a guy is a biiiiiig turn off.
PZelda 03-27-2007, 03:49 PM I agree. Too much cologne on a guy is a biiiiiig turn off.
Thank you! :)
Cologne is expensive. Don't freaking BATHE these $50-$100 worth of cologne away in a year... That's nasty.
Miss McGilacuddy 03-27-2007, 03:56 PM I have been wearing Ciara for 20 years now. It's the only perfume I like.
EmoJoe 03-27-2007, 04:49 PM i wear Axe, but i wear it for more of a deoderant then a cologne.
Lex Luthor 03-27-2007, 07:40 PM When I do wear it it is
Alfred Sung for men or
Armani Mania
Thank you! :)

I agree but this also applies to women bathing in purfume, the receptionist at work actually had the health and safety committee ask her to tone down as people with athsma were having it affected by how strong her perfume was.
Most gyms you will find signage asking to refrain from wearing perfume or cologne as it can be overpowering to some people
