View Full Version : Men: Would you wear a PINK business shirt?
Ireneparalegal 03-10-2006, 07:03 PM I seen a man yesterday and he had the slacks, dress shoes, cell phone, gold watch, hair slicked back, waiting for lunch and he had on a LIGHT PINK SHIRT ON!!! I couldn't believe that. I guess he thought it was light enough that it wouldn't matter. I have seen pink dress shirts for men in stores, but I always thought, DO MEN REALLY BUY THOSE?????

Brieannas21 03-10-2006, 07:31 PM I've seen men in light pink dress shirts also, it just seems soooooo 80's.
There are alot of things that look better on other men than me.
Pink colored shirts is one of them.

swedeace 03-10-2006, 08:24 PM We had a discussion about men's opinions on "pink" shirts in my Gender in Sociology class about 1.5 years ago.
It seems that in our society, men are still not accepted as much for wearing pink shirts. Moreso, our society usually says these men are not as masculine. Some men in my class have even said they know men who claim their pink shirts are in the shade of "salmon" and is not so pink.
Just like different people look good in different colors, I think pink can look good on some men, too.
Courtnee 03-10-2006, 08:27 PM aw i think it would look cute on a guy. :\
friendsfan77 03-10-2006, 08:36 PM Not me, only because pink isnt my color
Chad Michael Murray 03-10-2006, 10:21 PM Pink has been a really "in" color for dudes for like the last year. At A&F, men's pink polos are a REALLY hot seller.
I think it all depends on geographic location, though. Guys in pink are more acceptable in a busy city or in certain suburban areas than they would be in a more rural place, or a part of the country where things like that just don't fly.
Downtown, I always see businessmen with either pink shirts or sometimes a pink tie.
EmoJoe 03-10-2006, 10:23 PM pink is extremeley in for guys now. so im not surprised.
Polniaczek033 03-10-2006, 11:10 PM i get really annoyed with guys wearing pink shirts. the male teachers at my school always wear them, and i want to punch them in the balls.

i dont see why it was so frowned upon in the first place. red is more of a guy color, but when girls where red, people dont go all "OMGGGG A GIRL IS WEARING RED!1111"
pink on guys is popular now, though
dawsongirl 03-10-2006, 11:25 PM Gawd...everytime I walk by a display with pink shirts on it, I always say something like, MEN DON'T WEAR PINK. Sorry, but pink just isn't a man color. It doesn't look good on them, it doesn't look dressy on them...it's girly.
Apparently some designer wasn't happy with blue.
