In today's episode, "Katchoo!": after dog Tiger had FOUR baths, Jan could still
smell the flea powder that she was allergic to?! Isn't that just a little bit hard
to believe?

yeah, but it might have also been that he was around the house and it got on the rug and stuff. Also the flea powder its self was still in the house so that might have affected her sneezing.

because after each bath they were putting the flea powder on Tiger.

I knew they washed him, but I don't remember them saying they put the powder back on him everytime.

ok, I'll take your word for it. I wonder why they edited that out. That is kind of an important thing to leave in.

I agree; it would have made more sense. Darn those intrusive TV commercials!

I know. In some of the 70's shows that I love to watch, I will post in that show's forum something that was edited out, and state how important that scene or moment was to the plot of the story.

My favorite part is when Carol tells Alice the downstairs is as dusty as the upstairs. :)

This was very similar to an episode of Gilligan's Island, where everyone became allergic to Gilligan and he was going to move to the other side of the island. Then, right before he left they realized it was an after shave or something he was using.

Sherwood Schwartz must have written both.

I don't know if it is mentioned, but it just seems to be common sense to me!

Under what circumstance was it mentioned that, after each bath a new dose of flea powder was put on Tiger. Also, I remember a lot of cases in which original footage was left out to make room for commercials. There are some cases in which I remember it being done in such a way so that, if you never saw the movie or episode first-run, you would have no idea that it was ever there. One such case was when the "The Frisco Kid" was televised. They left out the whole part about when Gene Wilder's character got sick and was nursed back to health by an order of monks. If you were first seeing the movie you would think that, after he proved his decency to the Indians, they let him go and he and Harrison Ford's character went right on to the Tex-Mex town in Southern California. The only problem that I see is that viewers of the syndicated movie who "had" seen it in its original run and who happened to be Roman Catholic would be insulted that the one reference to their culture and their heritage was left out! Where the the American West be without Catholic people of French Irish and Mexican decent? "The west was wild, but he's Wilder"! What a cute play on words!
