View Full Version : Season 4 - June 20! Kristen 03-10-2006, 02:35 PM I just got an email from tvshowsondvd.com announcing the release of Season 4 on DVD June 20! yay! Here's the link: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=5281 Kristen SO Games 4 Us 03-10-2006, 03:27 PM You beat me to it! I was going to announce this! lol  Anyways, my prediction came true and I'm happy it did! Hopefully we'll see season 5 before this year is over. JoshB80 03-10-2006, 05:08 PM I just checked my e-mail and was excited to see that Season 4 is coming in a few months. I just love the later episodes with Sue Ann Nivens! She was a great addition to the show. Leigh Ann 03-10-2006, 08:04 PM Yay! I'm surprised they even have cover art already. I like it, better than the 3rd season, I think. Time to start the countdown again. ;) NOVARick 03-10-2006, 11:39 PM I'm glad to finally have a date for the Season Four release, but why such a long gap between 3 and 4? It will have been five months. I could understand that if they were working on including a bunch of extras, but it appears (like Season 3) there are no extras. I'm fine with no extras -- it's the episodes themselves I'm most interested in -- I just don't see why it should take so long to release the next season when they're not having to put a lot of extra effort into it. I suppose maybe they're trying to milk Season Three sales as much as possible. But at this rate, we won't be seeing the release of the seventh season until late 2007. ClassicTVGal 03-11-2006, 03:24 AM Oh cool!!! Awesome!! I'm soooo excited all ready!! :D YAY! Yippppeee! (I probably would have known, but haven't checked my mail in a while) Thanks Kristen!! The artwork looks great too!! :) TV DVD Fan 03-12-2006, 09:00 PM Great news, June is shaping up to be a great month :D. Pat robyrob 03-12-2006, 09:24 PM great news!!! i suspect that sales have everything to do with timing of releases - and as long as the sales stay strong, we will see future seasons keep coming at a good pace :) (already pre-ordered mine) scotsguy 03-14-2006, 05:42 PM Brilliant news. Glad they haven't waited too long to bring out season 4,yes Sue-Ann is a great addition to the show, love how Lou is terrified of her! As this is the last season to feature Rhoda as a regular,I wonder if Rhoda will be out on DVD soon?;I hope so! OKCRay 03-16-2006, 04:47 AM I'm glad to finally have a date for the Season Four release, but why such a long gap between 3 and 4? Hmmmmm, considering the nearly 3 year gap between Seasons 1 and 2, this doesn't seem like too long a gap to me! (not to mention there was a 6-month gap between Seasons 2 and 3) Scoobiedoo30 03-17-2006, 02:31 AM I cant wait for Season 4 of Mary Tyler Moore Show NOVARick 03-18-2006, 02:16 AM Hmmmmm, considering the nearly 3 year gap between Seasons 1 and 2, this doesn't seem like too long a gap to me! (not to mention there was a 6-month gap between Seasons 2 and 3) I guess I'm just impatient. But remember, with the first two seasons they had all those extras. That doesn't excuse 3 years between seasons 1 and 2, but considering Season 4, like Season 3, won't have any extras included, I'm sure they could get it out faster if there weren't a financial motive. Thank's Kristen 06-01-2006, 11:17 PM Just a little more than 2 weeks left! Yay!! :D TV DVD Fan 06-02-2006, 04:27 PM I guess I'm just impatient. Kristen 06-21-2006, 01:44 AM I was wondering in Season 4 is Betty White only in acouple of episodes, or just about ever episode? Well, she's in about 4 eps. this season. She never was a "regular" cast member, but her performance was so memorable that it seems like she was there the whole time, lol. If you're asking b/c you're debating about buying it, I would say go ahead. Betty does an awesome job in her eps, plus the series itself is really good! (I know I may be biased, but there's my 2 cents. Do with them what you wish! hehe) Kristen GoldenGirlsFan92 06-21-2006, 12:10 PM Thanks for info, what about Season 5? Does Betty become a "Regluar" on the show, instead of 4 episodes? Kristen 06-21-2006, 08:50 PM It's harder to tell w/ Season 5, b/c TV.com no longer credits her as a guest star in every ep. she's in. But, from what I remember, she's in more episodes in Season 5 than in 4. Hope that helps! robyrob 06-21-2006, 10:37 PM i got mine today :) :woohoo: GoldenGirlsFan92 06-21-2006, 10:42 PM It's harder to tell w/ Season 5, b/c TV.com no longer credits her as a guest star in every ep. she's in. But, from what I remember, she's in more episodes in Season 5 than in 4. Hope that helps! Thank you, Well I learned That Betty was never in more than 12eps. in one Season, but yes it does help. Thank You. TV DVD Fan 06-22-2006, 04:42 PM The back cover is absolutely awesome... totally blew me away. Unfortunately, I have to wait a couple weeks until vacation to buy it as I just utilized the current Barnes and Noble Buy 2 DVDs, get one free offer, and Mary wasn't on it yet. Sure enough, the next day, it was on! Just wish the extras were there... (Sighs). Pat GoldenGirlsFan92 06-22-2006, 10:51 PM Does Season4 have Any Bouns Features? TV DVD Fan 06-23-2006, 08:02 AM No, you can tell by the back art. GoldenGirlsFan92 06-24-2006, 10:32 PM Thanks for info. I think they should get Betty to do Commentaries, since she did commentaries for Season 5 of Golden Girls. They also should have commentaries & Interviews with the whole cast. Also here is the review for Season 4. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/themarytylermooreshowseason4dvdreview.html C Ingram 06-25-2006, 12:36 AM After having waited, sheesh, THREE YEARS between seasons 1 and 2, I'm delighted that this set is out, is selling well, and hopefully means that we'll see the last three seasons on DVD. 70's US Sitcoms Rock 06-28-2006, 10:09 AM YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! The Fourth series of MTM is a cracker. New characters arrive but sadly we lost Valerie Harper as Rhoda. Could this signal the release of Rhoda Season 1???? - I hope so. As Rhoda on The MTM Show, Valerie was great but on her own show she was fantastic!. Both shows had a great supporting cast which has meant they have stood the test of time. Which character do you think you are? - I think i'm kind of like Murray. Smart, sophisticated and whitty. David VP 06-30-2006, 08:34 PM Which character do you think you are? - I think i'm kind of like Murray. Smart, sophisticated and whitty. And Murray wasn't a very good speller either. "Whitty"?? Do you like you whittle too? :) j/k I'm most like Ted Baxter -- Pompous, obnoxious, large ego, wide ties, light bulbs always burned out in my dressing room, and constantly making fun of people just because they've misspelled "witty". :) 70's US Sitcoms Rock 07-01-2006, 04:45 AM  Why is it always the somple stopud wirds you end up spilling incirroctly  conversebn89 06-07-2007, 01:36 PM I found this really good interview of Valerie. here is the link http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4296726649037353693&q=innerviews You should check it out!! |
