I never could. It was just something about her. She looked stiff for one thing.

Yeah, not only that, she never seemed happy, and one thing cheerleaders must do is get other people to be happy, get them to cheer for their teams, etc. How was Dee gonna do that?

Yeah, I don't think she had the personality to be a cheerleader. One of their worse episodes.

Actually speaking, Dee/Danielle Spencer was indeed a cheerleader during all of her high school time, in real life.
For some of you out there, I know it's a bit hard to believe/take, but hey.
It's the truth.
;) :p

She always had a monotone voice, a bored expression, and a bad attitude... She's more the type to sit on the sidelines and make fun of the cheerleaders.

LOL, now I could see that. I could see her laughing at one of her friends who wanted to be a cheerleader and she would make a crack about the team.

There was one thing about that episode that I was never able to understand. The main theme of that episode had to do with bussing and the whole recial tension. The school principal was trying to help Dee understand the reasons for wanting to erase the line between black and white. It was because of this that, on the cheerleading squad there would be three black girls for the neighborhood and three white girls who were being bussed in. In the mind of Dee, this type of ridgitity defeated the whole purpose! She had no problem expressing her point of view to the principal. She asked him if the track team and the basketball team would also be half-and-half. After hearing him say that they would not, she sarcastically said, "on the football team, are the half-backs going to be half-blacks? The thing that they never got into was what there was about cheerleading that met it different than any other sport or activity. Any thoughts?
