When the 1966 Emmies were held one of the most fortuitous coincidences imaginable happened. Anissa Jones, who portrayed "Buffy" on Family Affair had a very serious crush on Davy Jones. Jimmy Durante who was the host that year; somehow he learned of Anissa's crush and after the ceremony took her backstage to meet Davy. Anissa always thought of that as one of the happiest days of her life. There is a very famous picture of this meeting, you can truly see the happiness in her eyes.

Thank you for telling us about Anissa Jones' crush on Davy Jones.(I wonder how related they were?Chuckle!)It was so nice to know and I'll bet she loved it when she said that the Monkees won the Emmy that year.I fully understand the joy of meeting or getting in touch with a performer you really like.That might be why my favorite Brady Bunch show was the one when Marcia got Davy Jones to sing at the prom.

THE BRADY BUNCH that Davy Jones makes a guest appearance isn't my favorite. Actually, I hate that episode (it is one of my least favorites).
