I noticed possibly a glitch on the new DVD set during the "Snow White and The Seven Bradys" episode---

Set the scene: the transition between where Alice is in the kitchen practicing her lines in the play...she is at the stove and she starts to stir her mirror in the pot....she takes it out and she makes a grimmacing face....

THEN a humorous musical cue starts to play as it transfers into the exterior shot of the Brady house at night (to introduce the next scene) >>> transfer to next scene where Cindy gets a call from Mr. Gunther about the theater being rented...

WELL it really has to do with the music portion of that transition....it sounds like the cue music of the previous scene is cut...and switches to other music as it shows the house....

Like it got cut off abruptly.

Anyone else notice this?

MMMMM?

I don't have the disk yet. Waiting for a few weeks to insure that bugs are out of the early releases. You are obviously referring to just after Alice's "Mirror Mirror in my.........soup!" joke, which syndication cut out in the mid 80's, but was restored by TV Land.

The original prints should in use for MOST of the DVD transfers, except for Paramount foolishly cutting part of the master tapes before the first syndication run, in which case, they had to pull back up negatives out of the vaults to restore the episodes to their full length. (If you see an overly "grainy" scene on any of The Brady Bunch DVD's, this is the reason why, as the original footage obviously could not be restored cuz it had been cut long ago.) If Alice's above scene has excessive grain, it is possible that a small music cue could have been edited out during the transfer process when they "inserted" the scene back in. I guess the question is, does TV Land's print, which restores that above scene, have the same effect? We may have to wait awhile for the answer as TV Land is back on season 1 episodes.
