I am very unhappy with my life and would like some advice please.
As some of you know already; I have asked for help regarding my life and that I need to change careers but don't know what's right for me.
I hate the fact that I will be "37" soon and still don't know what's the right career for me. Has anybody out there been through this and/or is going thru it right now? If so, what did you do? Who did you go to for advice?

I want only serious responses soon please. Thank You!!

Have you ever gone to college? If so that's a great start? You must look for something that makes you feel happy.

I have a son right now who is 15 and I am trying to guide him for the future.

I tell him there are so many things he can do. I am trying to find his niche.

I was stuck in a rut when I was in my late twenties. I had a bad marriage and I felt like with two kids and a bad marriage under my belt what could I do with my life. One day my husband (ex husband now) and I argued and I just got so upset with my life, I went out the door and arrived at my nearest college and talked with a counselor abt careers. I expressed my desire abt law enforcement and how a pregnancy put a halt to that, not to mention a car accident. I so bad wanted something to do in law or the legal field. The counselor suggested a few ideas and it was being a paralegal that got me excited. I signed up and it was the best thing I could have done with my life. I was so happy. I excelled in college. I was considered the "brainiac" in my class. I had perfect attendance and when I graduated I received honors and also a plaque for my perfect attendance. I was so proud of myself and I began my career the following week. I had gotten a job with a female attorney who had her own law office. I was soooo glad I did what I did that day. It forever changed my life. I eventually got a divorce and had peace in my life. that was the best part of the change. Coming home to a peaceful atmosphere and to my kids.

I would say just exploring hobbies, sports, social situations, and new things in your life may help you accept a new appreciation that will help you go from there.

Maybe you have always loved to give advice, so try reading/researching/taking Sociology classes to see if it's something you really wanna do. There is heavy socializing research going on there.

Or, maybe you like trying new recipes, so maybe just try looking into cooking/baking classes or volunteer with food shows or cooking demonstrations.

I just think you might be bored with stuff you do now, so try exploring outside to see what some new things or your current hobbies bring to mind. Hope these give some insights.

How about one of those technical schools? You could go into the Medical, dental, pharmaceutical field? You can even try fixing cars, becoming a horticulturist (planting and studying plants) How about the vetinary field or how about becoming a post woman/man delivering mail?

There are countless things you can do. :)
