Also, the variety show and the cartoon series are not controlled by CBS Paramount. The variety show was produced by Sid and Marty Krofft, while the cartoon is part of the Filmation library, which is now owned by Hallmark.

Not to me they weren't, what was painful for me to watch were The Bradys. I couldn't deal with the replacement Marcia and the fact that they made her an alcoholic. Plus I didn't like the way they made Bobby a paraplegic. The show didn't work for me as a drama.
