Mark Dowling? If he was the one who disappeared in Ireland, I'm not familiar with it. He is, however, listed at the Doe Network site (which is not a good sign of the current status of the case). But I doubt the case was ever profiled on UM, because I'm not familiar with it (unless UM had a brief profile of him on one of its special bulletin segments).

The whole driving off and never being seen again then. I tend to lean toward one of the popular opinions in his case.

Namely that the wreck jarred something in his head and that would explain the suddenly leaving the scene without explanation and thus leaving his friends to walk home.

Where it gets cloudier is what happened afterword. His car and his body have neither one ever been found.
