Here's one from the 80s that I'd forgotten about that popped into my head today.

Actor LeVar Burton was in the funk-R&B-rock band Cameo's video for their song Word Up! And yes they really did spell the title with an exclamation point. Anyways it's a horrible song with a terrible video. The lead "singer" couldn't sing at all in my opinion. If I remember the song came out in 1984 or 1985 but it was definitely before Burton was on Star Trek: The Next Generation. It's like they're in a dance club or something and at the end of the video LeVar Burton is "dancing" around, but it looks more like he's having a seizure. And the video's made worse by the fact that the lead singer is wearing what I can only describe as a big, shiny red codpiece. It's absolutely ridiculous. I have no idea how or why Burton appeared in this video, I mean he was hosting PBS's Reading Rainbow by then and it was quite popular at the time. Maybe he was friends with the band or something. But the video's not something he should be proud of.

Bruno Tonioli (Yes, Dancing With The Stars judge) was in Elton John's music video for I'm Still Standing. But you only see him briefly with the other dancers in the video. And he's also hard to recognize because he and the other background dancers are all done up in this brightly colored body paint, it's all rather weird and really doesn't make any sense.
