Mine is when Mama's dead mother pays her a visit and drives her crazy with her nagging. The family thinks she's talking to herself and they think she talking to them when she's talking to her dead mother.
Examples:
D.M. (Dead mother): Did you put enough salt in dem peas.
M. (mama): shakes salt on to peas, "There is that enough?"
D.M.: Depends on how much salt you put on them!
M.: Walks into the dining area with family sitting waiting to eat, she yells out, "These peas are fine!" and Bubby goes, "Yeah, so can we eat them" or something like that.

When mama tells her D.M. that she gonna sell the necklace so Bubba can go on a trip and she yells "Get the hell out of my life." And her son says, "Can't we at least get some coffee first?" I thought that episode was sooo funny!!

HI, this is my first time on this post. I looove MAMAS FAMILY! I got kind of upset when tbs took off the whole hour. I don't mind watching them over and over again! I think my favorite episode is although there are many, when the whole family was gone and she thought it was gonna be a dream to be by herself. They all went away for the weekend and she realizes that she missed them all. MAMA was singing in the rain and answering her own questions.

I grew up watching Mama's Family in the 1980's. I just love that show. My favorite
episode of all time, is when Bud and Sonya,
have a punk rock dance at their school, and
Thelma and the rest of the family have to
chaperone the dance.

Mama's family is a true classic. My favorite episode is the one where Iola's cat Midnight dies & she has him freeze-dried, then Vint thinks that he killed him.
the Kitty Ruxbin remark is hilarious.

I like the Tornado Thanksgiving episode and the one where Bubba writes a love letter for Vint and everyone reads it and gets the wrong idea. Very funny.

MY favorite episode is probably where Iola makes everyone those bizarre "handicrafts". They think she is gone and have a garage sale and can't get anyone to buy them. So she takes all of them
with her and leaves in a huff. When they find out that stupid Vint left all the money from the sale in one of the handicrafts, they have to act like they all love her to get the money back, only to find out Iola was on to them.

Another funny Iola episode was the dream (?) where Iola was
the sexpot and Naomi was the nerd.

I also liked Iola's frequent freakout attacks where she would rant about how her mother wronged her or she excused herself to
go outside and scream.

My favorite episodes are

1) Naomi and Vint's wedding episode

2) When the then Soviet citzen comes to Mama's house

3) When Bubba comes home drunk and the flashback about the church scene

4) Bubb's faulty camer when he was interveiwing his family for a video project

5) the intercome episode where everyone easedrop

6) When Mama learned to drive

When Mama was on Jeopardy!
That one was really funny, especially when she thinks her second place prize are Lee press on nails

:lol: Of course I like the episodes with the original cast better! Especially when Eunice was on. But if Rue McClanahan didn't leave Mama's Family we never would have fallen in love with her on the Golden Girls. But my favorite episode was when Mama and Naomi battled in court over the broken rug and vaccuum cleaner and the judge was so disgusted with the whole family!!!
I like when Mama called Naomi a piece of trash at the end before they were held in contempt. I love Mama's Family and record it all the time!!!

There isn't an episode of "Mama's Family" that I don't like. As for my favorite episode, that is a hard choice!! I guess, though, the two wedding episodes are my favorites! They are both classic episodes!! And, so is "Mama's Family" a classic show!!
