I saw PONDEROSA (a 2001 series) last night on the "i" channel (formerly PAX).
Good family show. It could aptly be described as a BONANZA prequel because
it takes place at an earlier time (1849), with an all-new cast as younger
versions of Ben (Daniel Hugh), Adam (Matt Carmody), Hoss (Drew Powell),
Little Joe (Jared Daperis), and Hop Sing (Gareth Yuen). The name "Little Joe"
really fits here. Powell, who plays Hoss, is especially good and even looks a lot
like a young Dan Blocker (or his lookalike son, actor Dirk Blocker).

yea, I saw an episode of that when it first started. It's pretty good. I saw the first one, which showed how they got all that land, and why they decided to name the ranch "THE PONDOROSA".

That's the episode that they are repeating on Sunday, March 26th. I'm planning
to watch it.
