As I have stressed before, physical letters have far more impact than emails (or phone calls). Emails can be deleted, making it easy for someone to pretend they never received them. Plus, a pile of physical letters a tougher to ignore than a list of emails.

Also, don't forget the following tips:

1) Keep it concise. If the letter is two or more pages long, you will run the risk of losing the reader.

2) Be civil. Name-calling and rants are counterproductive. Don't say something you'll regret later.
