I know you said one thing, but this was too easy for me

Michael doing the J.J. walk

Carl

Thelma's numourous times falling in love

Willona's dates

The Dyno-Mite phrase! If only he knew how much out of tune he sounded when trying to rhyme anything with dyno-mite! they would go from a serious discusssion to him rhyming with dyno-mite, it was so off-based. Why did they have to keep that sh*it in the script!

I was going to say the same thing abt the dynomite phrase too. Man, that was annoying.
Michael and his numerous references abt "black power" black this, black that. I loved how this show crossed all barriers with the t.v. audience, but I felt it could have done so without all of that.

Michael was seeminlgly flawless. Such a good student and well behaved. Let him (and Thelma) screw up once in a while!

Michael acting like JJ, yes!

Lenny, the Con With the Long Trench Coat! Even had it been a one-time gag, it wouldn't have been funny but to have him show up nearly everywhere the Evanses went more and more as the years went by and try to sell them 'hot' stuff from the lining of his coat was always a groaner with his trying to jive talk them and them never buying anything. If the Evanses never bought anything from him, why did the audience have to our time stolen by him?

God, I couldn't stand her. She is right up there with Claire Huxtable. And that "tiger evans" crap could go with her too. It was nobody's business what kind of person their grandfather was in the bedroom.

The cemetary plot salesman in the Alaska job episode. NO reason WHATSOEVER to have him in the script. I can't think of another person in another sitcom that was so unnecessary to the telling of a story in an episode.

As a matter of fact, that whole episode can go down the toilet too, what is the point of getting a damn good paying job if you are going to throw it away???

Yes. He was always sputtering something about not enough money going towards "The Blaaack Community".

And my favorite, "Boy is a white, racist word". Annoying!

Most of the writers were black. And even John Amos was upset with the writing, but the writers of the show didn't want his "ideas" or input.

BTW what are chitlings and ham hocks???

After the first season most of the writers were white. And Chitterlings are pig intestines and Ham hocks are the ankle part of the pigs leg. I personally don't like Chitterlings, they stink up to high heaven.

And there are a lot of black people who eat Chitterlings and ham hocks, back then those were the cheapest things to buy.

Oh ok, thanx. I love cow intestines. We call them TRIPAS. Us mexicans cook it a certain way and make tacos out of them. I could eat them for dayz. So delicious. and they don't stink at all. But because of the mad cow disease, they are not available. There is one place that still makes them, i don't know how they haven't gotten in trouble for doing so.

as far as being cheap, remember when Florida mentioned pork chops in that hypertension episode? James said THAT WAS A SUNDAY MEAL!!!!! so yeah, i guess those items were cheap to buy, and the Evans' were poor.

Man, how lucky I was. We had pork chops alot when I was growing up, and I would NEVER CONSIDER IT A SUNDAY MEAL. Maybe a Tuesday meal.

I love chitterlings myself. Yes they do stink when you are cleaning them, but add some hot sauce, greens, potato salad and cornbread. Good eatin'.

No, tripe is the lining of the stomach. Tripas is spanish for intestines. MMmmmmm menudo. Believe me, when I was young I detested Menudo BASED ON WHAT WAS IN IT. But it is soooooo good. Try it. I especially love the TRIPE in it. What I thought would be disgusting is actually the best part!!!! Yummy, damn Girlfriend, now I am hungry....LOL:lol:
