when was the first time you heard someone curse on TV? Do you remember what show it was, and what the person said?

For me; it was an episode of "Saturday Night Live" back in the first season, in 1975. On "Weekend Update" Chevy Chase was talking about Renee Richards, a tennis player who had a sex change operation and became a woman. He said "After Renee Richards talked to us, she went back to writing her new book 'Tennis Without Balls' ".

Great story, except for the fact that it contained no example of cursing on tv.

The first one I remember was when Hawkeye said "son of a b*tch" in one episode of M*A*S*H.

I knew right then there was something about him that I liked.

Hmmm... it's between OZZIE AND HARRIET  and ALL IN THE FAMILY. Give me a minute...

I think I have to go with ALL IN THE FAMILY (unless "golly" and "gosh" have become bad words).

I'm pretty sure it was All In The Family.
