North America seems the be one of the only places that serve waffles for breakfast most of the time. They are more like a dessert-type of dish. I had some Belgian waffles in Belgium with whipped cream while a friend had a chocolate-dipped waffle, and YUM!! They were delicious!!! What's french about frying a piece of bread that's soaked in egg?? Same with French Fries, and Canadian bacon. Even Canadian's know that all "Canadian bacon" really is, is ham. There's nothing Canadian about it. LOL. That kind of stuff drives me crazy!! Anyway, out of pancakes and waffles, I'd have to go with waffles. I love the way the butter melts into the little squares. I like those little square compartments myself. :lol: But I like them because because the syrup goes into them and soaks in.
