View Full Version : Internet Browsers
Dr. John Becker 03-01-2006, 06:03 PM I have a question. What is the internet broswer you have had the best luck with? Right now I'm using Mozilla Firefox and having much better luck with it then Internet Explorer, which always "ran into a problem and needed to close" If anyone knows any better then Mozilla, please let me know. Thanks!
AllIWantIsYourClutch 03-01-2006, 06:16 PM I use my SBC Yahoo browser.
Since I gave up AOL in January, I've been using Internet Explorer full time and I have had no problems with it.
Polniaczek033 03-01-2006, 06:39 PM i've always used internet explorer. i've never had any terrible problems. ;)

I was having problems for a while, but a friend of mine came over and unscrewed what I screwed up.
For a long time, my IE home page was hijacked by an antispyware program and whenever i logged onto IE this page for an antispyware program came up. My friend fixed that problem and fixed me up a nice google homepage to log onto when I check my g-mail.

the Yahoo browser is just a shell based on IE, much like the AOL browser is.

Thanks Gilmore Girls fan.
So far so good with this Mozilla browser. I used AOL until Monday. The browser was fine, but the AOL service was so slow that I switched to Bellsouth Fast Acess DSL. I get a lot less popups then I did with AOL.

I used to have that browser too. Wasn't terrible. But then I went to Netzero because it was cheaper. I hate it.

Im glad its working for you.. I think its great , And It blocked all the popups!!!! I have AOL also, and its soo slow i had to put aol 8.0, b/c 9.0 was messing up my computer ughh:mad: , But ever since i installed windows over with xp disk its been fine. I Hope the E browser helps out..
Brad Russ 03-02-2006, 11:58 AM I use Opera. I started using it at the recommendation of a fellow SO'er a couple years back. It could be better, but overall, I like it much better then IE, which I had tons of problems with.
swedeace 03-02-2006, 12:20 PM I use Internet Explorer 6, but I don't encounter any problems using it. I have tried others like Opera, Mozilla, and FireFox, but they were just maybe two or three times. Not enough time to actually explore those. I am thinking about installing them on my home computer, but I don't know yet.
Jonathan 03-02-2006, 04:45 PM I keep to the regular IE interface. I have used it for a long time, so I never have bothered to install anything else. I have never really had major troubles out of it, so I guess I'll stick with it.
