He said it was time for him to start dressing like an adult which is why you no longer saw the turtleneck after season 3. I loved watching Mike Douglas show. I do recall JJ being on there. I don't remember the conversation though. It sounds like because Jimmie was older than he was playing, and since the character was outta high school, it makes sense that he would put his foot down and ask that the character grow up some.
