I thought he left over a salary dispute.

that it was a # of issues that led Amos to leave good times,
salary issues, butting heads with Norman Lear
not liking the scripts

who knows

i do know that once amos left, the show went donwhill

Never really watched the show (Good Times) but I always heard that Amos left of his own volition, not that he was fired.

There is no information on Future Cop in any of my TV books or the Internet. The only thing I know is that it started in 1977

John Amos revelaed this information himself on a radio interview a few years ago.

Correction, I found on tv.com that the show lasted from March of 1977 to April of 1977. I'm just surprised it's not inside the TV Primetime Directory. I thought anything on TV.com would defintely be inside that book.

this taken from "Total Television":

Future Cop
March 5 1977-August 6 1977 (ABC) An irregularly scheduled crime show, Future Cop starred Ernest Borgnine as Officer Joe Cleaver and John Amos as his partner Officer Bill Bundy. The two veterans were assigned to break in a rookie officer , a robot supposedly programmed to be the perfect cop. The android, Officer Haven, was played by Micheal Shannon. Anthony Wilson and Gary Damsker were the executive producers of the hour series.

Sounds like Robocop.

No, Future Cop was sweeter. Michael Shannon played the role with deliberate innocence - more like Pinocchio than Murphy.

NEW ODD COUPLE::

There are only 5 episodes in circulation, in my opinion, the best set is the one I made with T Greg, 2 discs with the 5 episodes, I have a ton repeat ton of versions of this show and the 2 disc set is the best I enjoy and care to watch.

My 2 cents
