Did anyone else catch the documentary "Confronting Evil" on A&E last night? I had never seen it before. It was about a victim-offender mediation program where victims confront the person who murdered a family member (or in one case, attempted to murder the victim). It was both moving and extremely disturbing.
The first case, where the offender claimed that he didn't remember ever committing the crime, was extremely frustrating. The last case where the mother confronted her daughter's rapist and murderer was the most disturbing. I found Yanez to be unnervingly articulate and clearly very intelligent....yet he couldn't answer why he did it. My heart broke for the mother.
Does anyone else have any thoughts?
