Because not only was George prejudice against White People, he was also prejudice against Poor People-lol I think that may have a lot to do why so many people I know prefer Good Times over the Jeffersons
A statement that shows how prejudice George was against Poor People
"Louise now that we have money I'm not telling you to look down on anyone I'm just saying to shift your angle have them start looking up at you"
lol

they were a paradox of each other. James didn't care for the rich folks either. his belief was they were "snotty" "had their nose in the air" etc.

No not really, he just was acting like that toward that man and woman who didn;t want their son to date J.J because of where he lived. So I don't think james thought that about all rich people. On the other hand george tells lionel
"When you have money you are better than everyone else"
lol

James felt that way towards cousin Edgar. He was "rich" and that was one of the reasons he didn't want to borrow $$$ from him, he went on and on abt how Edgar would smile and make gestures (something like that) and it made James feel uncomfortable and something abt how Edgar acted abt being rich.

Interesting. For some reason, even thugh I used to watch the Jeffersons, the show never wamed to me like a Good Times or What's Happening. The Jeffersons had some funny shows, but it didn't keep me in stitches all the time.
