In episode, "Julio and Sister and Nephew" When Fred went down to the principal's office with Julio's sister, and nephew, the principal called him Mr. Sanford. Fred and the principal wasn't formally introduced to one another, so how can he call him Mr. Sanford? This isn't the the first time this happened. In episode "Fred Sanford, Legal Eagle" that court scene when the judge called him Mr. Sanford, and Fred never told him his name. He just said he was Lamont's counsel. Man, those were obvious mistakes.

Fred Sanford, Legal Eagle was hilarious. I came unglued when he told the Judge off.

Well in the first episode the school called Fred's house so i assume the principle knew his name.

Also in the episode where Lamont moves out because Fred won't let him and Rollo entertain those two girls. At the beginning, Rollo say's "And we don't want no onion stew" but Fred had never told Rollo what kind of stew he had made. He had only said, "I've got a pot of stew and some Ripple"

Is it possible there was some slight editing done by the infamous TVland editors?

No. I have the DVD sets, and I went over it. Those were just mistakes by the writers.

In the episode where Fred wins the decathalon, when he meets Lou Turner at Donna's, he and Lou had never met, therefore we can assume that Lou and Lamont had never met, yet at the end when Lou comes to congatulate Fred and challenges Fred to arm wrestle, he calls Lamont by his name even though Lamont's name had not been mentioned since Lou arrived.
