When i say more than one bad season i mean two because any show that has more than 2 bad season really can;t be considered a favorite. So These are the shows I liked that had 2 bad seasons

Sanford and Son-season 1 and season 6

Married with Children-season 1 and season 11

The last five seasons of "Friends" were largely hit-and-miss (save season 8), but I only felt seasons 7 and 10 were truly subpar. There were still some gems in those seasons, but the first half of that show will remain one of my favorite sitcom runs ever.

Maybe I misunderstood the question. Season one wasn't bad, but it was a little slow for me. I still liked it, but all the characters to me, didn't fully gel until season 2.

All in the Family - All seasons post-1975
Cheers - All Seasons until Season 5 (why, b/c I really can't stand hearing Diane's voice that very much and two, the show really wasn't fun until that season 5 or 6)
Cosby Show - Seasons 6, 7, and especially 8
Laverne and Shirley - Most eps. from the Hollywood-era, forgot what season did they first move from Milwaukee to LA, though so clue me in a bit on this one.

All In The Family- Last few seasons
Sanford & Son- Seasons 5 and 6 (but I still love the show)
Alice- Most seasons from the 80s(without Flo)
The Andy Griffith Show-Seasons 6-8 (in color and no Barney Fife)
The Jeffersons- Last few seasons/from what I remember

Hmmm....

I'd say definately Season 8 of Frasier.

Seasons 6-11 of Cheers.....No Diane.

And yes, I had forgotten about Andy Griffith. No Barney. So I agree... Seasons 6-8.

Let's see ...

The Waltons had two very subpar seasons (1979-81) after Miss Michael Learned (Olivia Walton) left.

The Wonder Years had a handful of good episodes during the last two seasons when Kevin Arnold and Co. were in high school, but the previous four seasons (3½ if you count just the latter half of the 1987-88 season) had a handful of bad episodes, by comparison. Having said that, even a bad seventh season (1993-94) would have done the show justice by allowing us to see the gang graduate high school, giving the show a true ending.

Oh, and to the poster who asked when the "Hollywood era" of Laverne and Shirley started, it was in the fall of 1980 at the beginning of the 1980-81 season (1964-65 on the show).

Thanks, James for cluing my on the info of L&S!

At first the "Hollywood"-era was OK, but now, it really got on my nerves, especially after Cindy Williams left on Maternity leave!
