It's great that the Comedy Network has started running the show as of Sep 3 up here in Canada, but for some God-forsaken reason they skipped airing a couple of episodes already (#4 and #7 so far). Does anyone have any idea why they do this? I've been setting my VCR and hoping to tape every freakin episode, especially from the 1st season. Every episode in the 1st season was great as far as I'm concerned and I wonder how the networks decide which to air and which not to air. TBS did the same thing with Good Times recently.

That really sucks! Most stations seem to do that and the only thing I can figure is that they want you to watch it that second time around, for their advertisers I guess. WGN does the same with macgyver .... they'll skip and episode here and there, then the next time it comes around, they'll skip different episodes so that you'll really have to work for it. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif

I've been recording mork and mindy for awhile off a local channel, and they ran it in really good order, except that now all of a sudden, they showed the 2 part engagement-wedding shows after the beginning of season three instead of the beginning of season four. So now they are married, and then for a bunch more tapes, they are just living together. LOL.

watch it all over again just to see one episode? Seems stupid.
If you keep up with the episodes they air, you could just watch on the day they air the one they skipped last time.

No, not watch it everyday all over again, but you would need to keep close tabs, plus a good portion of the time the online schedules give out the wrong episode info, so they really seem to make people work for it.

Keith, did you figure out what all eps you are missing? I have the entire first season in SP and I could help you make up what you have missed I'm sure.

Every once in a while there is a movie I would like taped off the tv in Canada, so I'm sure we could do an easy trade.

I don't think they're skipping them -- they're showing them in a different order from airdate order (maybe the order of production). Checking the episode guide, I know I've seen episode 4 ("To Tell the Truth") and episodes 7 ("Mork's Seduction") on the Comedy Network. So keep taping and you should get all of them...

Also, a note on the versions shown by the Comedy Network: As usual, the Comedy Network shows everything uncut, 24 to 25 minutes in length (and only 5-6 minutes of commercials!), and Paramount seems to have kept all the episodes uncut (unlike Fox, which distributes WKRP and Newhart and always has a few cut episodes mixed in with the uncut ones). Anyone who wants this series uncut should find someone who's taping it off the Comedy Network (I can't, unfortunately).

I'm recording it off a religious station in Indianapolis and it looks uncut to me. I can't be 100% sure without something to look for, but I'm realy pleased. They also don't have a screen id overlaid in the show. They are a lil station though and the color can be weird at times. I dont know if thats them or just the age of the show. I didnt pay attention to those things when I was little.
I'm starting to wish I wasnt recording it in SP though, because Im around tape #20. LOL. They are airing slightly out of order too, and its getting worse at the near the end of the series.

Actually it is true, they did end up airing the missing episodes - out of order, but at least they aired them. TBS did the same with Good Times eventually. Thanks for the offer of the TRADE but it looks like I'm covered.

Jaime, if you're serious about wanting stuff taped for comedy channel in Canada, you r best bet would be to record some of the new fall shows. I hit up a list about buffy the vampire slayer. Its a show i dont watch, but many Canadians cant get it, and seem all too hapy to trade something like Mork or WKRP for it.

It looks like I might end of having some good luck with it.
