Legend has it the producer of the series destroyed the original films of the series.

A rumor which, sadly, will only be proven wrong if all the episodes show up. Until then, it will continue spinning around. I have heard tell that a tenth episode exists is at the Museum of Television and Radio in addition to the nine extant episodes in the hands of private collectors and held at the UCLA Film & Television Archive. But I never followed that up.

Do you think that if someone Or a group of private collectors all got together and offered a Super amount of money for the Entire series it would turn up? It sort of sounds like someone is Holding out on releasing this old series. Maybe because it's a fantasy show and fantasy type of stuff always has a way of bringing top dollar!
Hopefully the entire series is still out there, somewhere. Maybe the late Bob Cummings keep copies of all of his work?
Finally what is the name of the tenth episode that mite be out there?

Even if Bob Cummings kept all of his episodes, remember that he was not in the last five episodes. Also, I have no idea what episode might be at the MTR.

I doubt seriously he kept anything - he wasn't in the last few episodes because he hated working on the show so much. Even Julie Newmar apparently doesn't have episodes.

My Living Doll episodes listed in the UCLA archive include one called Boy Meets Girl. It's not a circulating copy, so it would not be available for loan or anything.

I only have 6 episodes of the series - if you really do have other episodes (First Date, Klepto, Leave It), is there anything else you're looking for that you'd be willing to trade for those?

I've started writing request e-mails to companies like Shout! and 'S'More Entertainment about shows like this. 'S'More Entertainment is working with the UCLA Archive on releases - Mr. Peepers is one of them, and apparently there's another set to follow. This is a company that's tapped into the Archive, and might be a good target to send polite inquiries to.

UCLA has six episodes:

"Beauty Contest"
"Boy Meets Girl"
"I'll Leave It To You"
"Kleptomaniac"
"Rhoda's First Date"
"The Witness"

Of those six, I believe three are in the hands of private collectors:

"Boy Meets Girl"
"Beauty Contest"
"The Witness" aka "Day in Court"

There are three other episodes apparently in the hands of private collectors:

"Uninvited Guest"
"Something Borrowed, Something Blue"
"Pool Shark"

And that makes nine. I just double checked and I may have mispoken earlier. Someone posted on Usenet that an episode was at the Library of Congress, not the MTR. I could not find any mention of any My Living Doll episodes at the LOC, though, so it might just be nine. Plus the fall preview, but that probably only has footage from the first episode.

A 16mm film print of an episode held at UCLA (assuming the above info is correct) was just listed on eBay.

I don't know the seller and am not advertising the auction, just informing anybody who may be interested in knowing of its existence outside of UCLA's holdings.
