Rob, Big Earl or Little Earl? By that time Littel earl would have been a grown man and it would have been nice to see him and his dad drop by the new and revamped Rob's place.

View Full Version : Should one of these WH cast members have made a guest appearance on WHN? TVFactFan 02-27-2006, 11:53 AM Rob, Big Earl or Little Earl? The Earls were annoying and I am glad they were forgotten about. I would have been nice to see Snake again or Mrs. Collins. They could have been invited to her retirement party or something to bring her back for an episode. Rob could have made an appearence explaining what happened to the diner to resolve that storyline. Yeah that will always be a Permanent Hole in the What's Happening to What' Happening Now transition GARFIELDKOOL 06-24-2007, 05:40 PM Rob, Big Earl or Little Earl? Little Earl probably would have been a teenager, not a grown man. Remember, this was the mid-80s, about 6 years after we had seen him. Well I think L:ittle Earl would have been 18 or 19 in 1985 so he would have been considered a grown man Brian Damage 06-24-2007, 05:46 PM For me personally, it would've been cool to see. But I totally understand why they never showed up. Season 3 was a season that few would like to remember. mlingerfelt 06-24-2007, 08:59 PM Little Earl and Big Earl did not fit in WH to me. I would have love to seen one of Dee,s friends or what about the act they helped get on The Gong Show or maybe The Doobie Brothers. jamesanthony 06-25-2007, 12:30 PM Well I think L:ittle Earl would have been 18 or 19 in 1985 so he would have been considered a grown man Little Earl was 9 in the series so in 1985 he would've been 15. What I want to know is how old was Dee supposed to have been? When the show started I thought she was 9, but then in the last season she was a HS freshman, then in WHN in the first year she was a college freshman and in the last season there is an episode where she turns 21- so they added to her age then de-aged her for the sequel. I'm guessing they aged her up in the original show because she was going through puberty in real life and looked more mature and since the mother wasn't there they stuck her in HS to make her more a part of things, but then they went backwards for the sequel. I think the age was consistent, she was 9 to 12 on WH and 18 in 85 jamesanthony 06-25-2007, 12:55 PM I think the age was consistent, she was 9 to 12 on WH and 18 in 85 There's an episode in the last year of the original show where her Caucasian friend makes the cheerleading team instead of her - if I remember right they are in HS at that point. Also I think in the episode where Dwayne is running for student president Dee was also a student in the school. On a side note, I see that Danielle Spencer really looked strongly like Mabel which I suppose is why she was cast- it certainly wasn't for her acting skills. Danielle Spencer was great though; she was memorable DESPITE the fact that she expressed absolutely no emotive skills as an actress whatsoever. I noticed that too how she went from acting like an elementary school kid to high school in the last season. At least on Fresh Prince, Ashley's re-aging was not as obvious. Assuming Dee was 14 on WH as she was in the 9th grade, she would have been a sophomore or junior by the time WHN dropped. A good series finale for WHN could have been Dee's graduation catlover79 06-25-2007, 06:54 PM I don't think anyone was shedding any tears that the Earls were absent. As for Danielle Spencer being non-emotive - that's what made her so memorable. Her ability to deadpan set her apart from the other cast members. CWDogg 07-21-2007, 11:58 PM They should've had Dee reunite with her pen pal to see how she turned out. Reruns brother in law IKE/Rollo, he shouldve been in a few episodes ThomasE 08-31-2007, 08:33 PM I don't think anyone was shedding any tears that the Earls were absent. As for Danielle Spencer being non-emotive - that's what made her so memorable. I wanted to see Little Earl. catlover79 08-31-2007, 11:13 PM Forget all the guys - they should've brought back Mabel King as MAMA!! Jrog 12-21-2007, 02:58 PM Forget all the guys - they should've brought back Mabel King as MAMA!! You know, I always found it weird that they brought the Dad back (for a guest appearence) but never Mabel King. Though, and this is just a guess, it was probably easier to do a guest turn with the Dad as opposed to "Mama" as I can't envision the audience being exposed to her and not wanting to see her more. |
