This film will shatter every stereotype you've ever had about what it's like to be handicapped. It's the story of three quadriplegics who get into armored wheelchairs to play the no-holds-barred, violent game of wheelchair rugby. The three are Joe Soares, who was crippled by childhood polio; Mark Zupan, who was disabled after a drunken driving accident; and Keith Cavill, who was injured in a motocross mishap. Cameras follow the men into the locker rooms, arenas, bedrooms, hospitals, and hotels where they live and play and show how they rebuilt their lives and refused to give in

to self-pity even after their bodies had been crushed. (2005)

Me too. I was going to rent it, but now I get to watch it for free. I'm looking forward to it. It looks like an awesome film.

My roommate rented it the other night, and I'm glad I finally saw it. It's a great story that really puts your life in perspective.

You're welcome!! :) Unfortunately I missed it last night, as I totally forgot it was on. :( I'll have to set a tape for the March 12th airing, just to be sure not to miss it again.

Murderball is fantastic. It's a highly emotional film without being sappy. It's quite funny at times as well.

TJL, you're right - it does put ones life in perspective.

I highly recommend it.

Is it re-airing on the 12th? Your initial posts states it's on March 1. I taped it. If you'd like, I can mail it to you.

Let me know. :)

Yeah, it's suppose to be re-airing on the 12th. I'm going to try to remember to catch it this time, but if I forget again, I'll definitely take you up on your offer to tape it for me. Thanks Janice, that's so sweet of you!!! :)

For anyone like myself, who missed it the first time around, A&E is going to be airing Murderball one last time on March 12th, at 12:00 pm. This is a brand new movie, and costs $3.79 to rent at Blockbuster, so I highly recommend that everyone catch it for free on A&E!!
